It was announced that the trailer would be shown at the end of the show. People who aren't interested in Agents of Shield will just flip to ABC at 10 till the hour and watch the trailer. If they wanted the Avengers trailer to enhance interest in AOS they should have stuck a glimpse of Coulson and a few other characters from the show in that brief cut with Nick Fury. If there going to tie any of the Avengers plot into the show like they did with Winter Soldier it would be much more likely to interest new viewers showing that connection than just showing a trailer. Props to Marvel for keeping the properties under their cinematic control in the same universe. DC is really going to throw people off by having at least three different universes going at the same time, (Dawn of Justice/Arrow & Flash/ Gotham).
Bummer for this show that the trailer leaked early, goodbye ratings spike, the folks at Marvel and especially the network are probably losing it

Good point about the DC universe. Don't forget about Constantine too! You wouldn't think it would be so difficult to keep everything in the same world. In fact, I could argue that the limitations would actually make things easier because everybody is working towards the same common goal. At least Arrow and Flash are keeping it together.

I think they missed a golden opportunity to pay homage to Terminator 2 when Simmons is trying to escape and is running around the corridors. It could have been exactly like when Sarah is escaping the mental ward and she stops and stumbles when she sees Arnold coming out of the elevator. They could have done the exact same thing with Simmons encountering Bobi, even the slo mo! Then have Bobi say. "come with me if you want to live".

I was going to mention Constantine, but not sure how far into the main stream DC universe they are going to go. Of course the real irony is that DC has total control over all their characters while Marvel does not. It will be interesting to see how they treat the characters that will be on Netflix. If Marvel was smart Coulson or Maria Hill would show up in the first five minutes of the Daredevil pilot just to establish the connection.
