'Avengers: Age Of Ultron' Rumors: 3 New Characters From 'Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Will Appear

The already star-laden lineup of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" may include three characters previously unknown to be appearing in the film.According to a Reddit user with the username "the_marvel_intern," several people from the television series "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" have reserved spots in the upcoming sequel.

"In 'Age of Ultron,' cast of 'Agents Of Shield' show up. May, Daisy, Coulson, etc."

If you're not familiar with these names, May refers to the Agent Melinda May, Daisy refers to Daisy Johnson ("Quake") and Coulson is short for Agent Phil Coulson, who was a good bet to appear in the film, but was not confirmed.

As Cinema Blend notes, the "etc." suggests several more cast members could join as well, including Agents Fitz, Simmons and Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird.
Adrianne Palicki, who plays Mockingbird in show, previously toldIGN that a potential appearance in the film franchise has been discussed."Absolutely — that was one of the things that was discussed when I was coming on for the part, and you know, we'll see what happens. It's such a nice world that we live in that crossover can happen so often now which in the past it never really did so, to see these worlds come together on the small screen and the big screen is really cool."

In the comics, Morse marries Hawkeye, who is back for "Avengers 2."
While this is just a rumor, the tie-in makes sense, at the very least, for building more buzz for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which is currently in its season two winter hiatus.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will hit theaters on May 1 with stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow). Other actors who will be featured in the film include Paul Bettany (Vision), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Andy Serkis and James Spader (Ultron).

"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns to ABC on March 3.
