I'm not Jealous of that young Matt Dillon guy nor the other nerd and I like Coulson.

But the hacker girl, c'mon, she looks and acts like she belongs to a teenage drama or sitcom, it would have been nice if they went with a Lisbeth Salander kind of character, or at least give her some asperger for Christ's sake, something to make the fact that she's a super intelligent hacker a little more believable.

PS: I realise I'm not watching the show cause I'm hooked, I'm watching it based on my initial hype and now on the hope that it gets better, and both are starting to wear off, I hope ep4. is at least as good as ep1.

But.....she has mad boxing skills!

Yeah but the eccentric nerdy hacker-type is another cliche. I'm thinking of characters in Criminal Minds, NCIS etc etc.

I wouldn't call her eccentric or nerdy though. She's there for looks and to play off "young Matt"

You're right, but there are many kind of eccentric, the socially recluse Salander-type is a quite rare character and it perfectly fits the role of an anti-government activist, they could have lightened the archetype for the show or whatever...

Anything would've been better than that character she was given to play.

So, I really enjoyed tonights episode. Pretty fun. I like the mystery they're building with the backer. Wonder if it will end up being anyone important! I somehow think it might lead back to The Rising Tide, which will of course link up with Skye and complete the circle.

I watch TV show for extremely well orchestrated character studies and incredible stories.

And you watch movies for the gore and boom booms.

No.....I was thinking that "Matt" was a piss poor teacher or the director doesn't have a clue.

It was obvious from the start that she's the oddball pretty character who really doesn't fit in. By the end of the season, she'll become a force to be reckoned with and a full agent. OR, she'll turn out to be a spy for Rising Tide who's had the skills all along but tricked shield with her beauty and feinted naivete.
