I believe it would be more of a memory download rather than a brain transplant. Kinda like they did with Wonder Man and the Vision. This would explain the loss of muscle memory because he has no true muscles. Just my opinion.

Akela would've reacted to a robot coulson during her interrogation or mentioned Coulson being a robot to May though, which makes me think there's more to him than just a straight-up "android," hence my two comic examples of essentially androids with the actual brains of the heroes transplanted.

I knew that the LMD's were not actual androids but did not know that some has brians attached. I knew they had artficial intelligence due to the one that thought it was Nick Fury's brother and became a version of Zodiac himself. I thought they could use the brain wave patterns to simulate the artficial intelligence

Under an X-ray, which is what Akela's eye does, they'd look like robots. What she saw had to have been at least part human given her comment to May, "What did they do to him?" vs. "Why are they using a robot Coulson?"

I see where you are coming from now. I love talking nerd stuff like this rather than fighting about the show quality. Either you like it or you don't. A lot better that the Amazing Spiderman and Incredible Hulk from when I was a kid.

I only watched the first 21 minutes, and I did kinda like it. I just gots to do some thangs.

Decent episode. Although I don't know how the action dude drove the car or did much of anything without his arms and hands being within his own field of view that'd give away that he was not the black girl.

What about the airplane flying on autopilot with the only pilot on board standing in the situation room having a lengthy conversation about the case they're on.
The lack of a support crew on that airplane is just ridiculous.
Last night's show was good, loved the joke about the agent seducing the guard. Roxann Dawson also did a good job directing, I thought the camera work was an improvement on past episodes.

Episode wasn't bad. Still would prefer a bit more long running story. But eh. It's getting better. More solid.

Just finished ep4.
It was certainly better, action, acting, writing everything was more sober and they kept the silly/dumb lines to a very minimum which was very well appreciated, I'd say it was the most solid one so far for me.
The supporting cast remains as insipid as usual... Although that "seduce him" scene was so unexpected and really made me lol
I question if I'm being overly critical of this show, should I expect this to be on par with the walking dead, Breaking Bad or Game of thrones? Even comedies like Modern family or the big bang theory seem to have a bigger impact on me episode by episode.
Should I downgrade this show from aspiring to the above mentioned to "just another show" to be able to enjoy it?

Nah. TV is the best place to tell a story. No excuse for them to aspire to the lowest common denominator any more.

You're right, and it's Marvel, they should be on top, it's so weird that they're struggling so much, but anyway, the story so far raises some interesting questions:
