Agent Coulson is a doll!!!
For all those Dollhouse fans out there (all 5 of us), the dialog in the dream sequence in Tahiti was straight out of every Dollhouse episode when one of the dolls awoke after being mind wiped. "Did I fall asleep?" "For a little while."
Of course Jed Whdon and his wife Maurisa were the main writers for Dollhouse too, so it might just be a nod to that show or a strong hint that Agent Coulson is...?

They missed an opportunity during the opening to account for the other Avengers during the attack on Earth by Malekith. Sky could have been asking "Where was Captain America or Iron Man?" and Coulson could have hinted something for CA:TWS.

I took it as she was there for him to talk to and have a drink (like friends) nothing romantic or sexual.
I felt this excitement the moment Agent May looked at Ward that way with bottle in hand and left the door open. Glad he went in because I would have too!Relieve a huge amount of stressful energy and change it to something really meaningful

It does almost seem like Coulson's programmed, though. His response is always "Tahiti; it's a magical place." S.H.I.E.L.D must have some backroom dealings with Expedia.

I was thinking the same thing just this past week. Not sure if this needs a long running series to tell a story.

This is probably the primary reason I still tune into this show..
I liked the show a lot more in the beginning, but I am agreeing with the reviews that it's kinda slipping and could be SO MUCH MORE... I hope it starts picking up again. And this whole what happened to Coulson thing? I'm not sure I really care anymore..
