Airbrush Primer Needed?

Question for you customizers.
Do you guys use any kind of airbrush primer for doing paint-ups on 1/6 scale pieces? I didn't know if the airbrush paints adhere well on their own or not. If there is such a primer, anyone have a link or recommendation?

I recently bought an Iwata Hi-Line, and I haven't done airbrushing in forever, so I figured I'd save myself a headache (and paint) and ask the pros.

Yep, prime everything. Lots of people use the Tamiya primer:

It really helps make a surface that the paint will stick to.

Is one better than the other for laying down good skin tones?

I'd assume the white primer would be best?

I prime all my resin heads with Gunze's 1200 grey surfacer before painting. If you want a flesh color to start with, Gaianotes has a flesh colored sufacer.
