Okay, this is not a Alamo/Mondo release, but I wanted to share anyway. Big huge thanks to Mesa for the head's up that these would be available. I used Michael's to try to save a bit on framing, but probably won't be using them too much, except for lower priced items, such as this Aliens and the Mr. Shabba Alien print coming sometime soon.

For the cost I think Michaels frames are pretty nice. Its hard to spend a ton of cash on something a little nicer when you can get the same size frame for a fraction of the cost. I have 3 custom and probably 8 michaels frames floating around the house.

Non Drafthouse but It looks awesome, got mine in yesterday, planning to drop it off to get framed, its just too funny and it looks great

Get your ass to the mondo booth if you want Stout regulars

They already selling them? Dang, I hope they don't put them online tonight. I go to work soon.

EDIT: Eh, I don't think they're going to be putting a single poster online to buy. That makes me extra sad, as I'm in no mood to pay crappy ebay prices.

Nice pics! Congrats. Looks REALLY nice!

Not a fan of Michael's? Haven't had any issues personally, so curious as to your experience.

what do you mean? where did you hear this? please explain.... :panic:

The Stout Star Wars posters are being sold at the Mondo booth, $400 for all three.

One person who visited the booth tonight left under the impression that the Captain America posters would be sold online. But there is no official word yet, just rumors and guesses.

They both have extreme talent, but I'd give Ansin a slight edge, as he's shown more versatility. Stout does what he does really well, but you typically know what you're going to get. Ansin changes it up--he has his own recognizable style and line work, but he mixes up the layout and approach more than Stout does. (At least with most movie posters.)

I pretty much agree. The only reason I don't own more Ansin is he hasn't released near as much movie posters as Stout.:lol The only Alamo posters of his I don't own are Space Seed as I have no interest in Trek, Moon because it was just a rehash of the theatrical poster, albeit a very nice one, and Metropolis because at the time it was released I wasn't very impressed with it. I regret that one.

I forgot I don't own Wretched Hive either because it isn't really a movie poster and I have to draw the line somewhere.

Wretched Hive is one of my absolute favorite prints, period. Not just from the Star Wars line. It can't touch Moss or Stout when it comes to eBay value, but I don't care. Ansin is ridiculously talented:

Well, it's the blog post on Mondo from a few days ago that bothers me. It doesn't bode well. In it it says...

This could get crazy. We won’t be having any advanced sales online or whatever, so this will all be sold at the booth. As of now, we will have two releases a day. One in the AM and one in the PM. We won’t be announcing anything beforehand and won’t be announcing times.

And THAT is why I'm thinking that way.

The Phantom of the Opera variant was the first Ansin I bought and is still my favorite. Just an amazing print.

They weren't doing ADVANCED sales online so attendees could preorder for pickup. But that doesn't mean there will be no copies for sale online at all. They will clearly state when copies will never b sold online, as with the Mystery Movie and this year's Rolling Roadshow. We're just going to have to wait and see.

It's just been confirmed for me that they are giving out litho copies of the Stout poster at the Captain America screening this morning. Presumably, the numbered screen prints will be sold at the booth, and hopefully some will be held back for online sales.

Hmmm, I guess you're right. I had a little trouble interpreting it though, admittedly. In any case, a straight answer would be nice, but then again, a straight answer would just be too easy.
