U meant the stouts then? Didn't read that right. That's my understanding is that they all went up online. :(

Guys, if you didn't get Stouts, send Mondo one of those question forms through your account and ask to be put on a list if there are any cancellations. I'd say ask very kindly, as they have to wade through a lot of angry mail. I sent a nice paragraph to them kindly asking them to put any extras they get aside for me if there are things like cancellations or denied credit cards. That's how I got my Tron prints. A nice person from Mondo already replied to me saying they'll set some aside for me if they get any extras! Of course, I sent the mail 3 minutes after stuff sold out. While you may not love how their site runs, they're good, quality people.

No, the people at Mondo clearly suck and cater to flippers.:lol:lol:lol

You'll never hear me hating on them. They do the best they can with what they have. I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be nearly as much hating on them if there weren't the flippers. Some people (me included) aren't upset so much that they missed out on these awesome prints, but moreso the fact that the prints we so desired are in the hands of a flipper trying to make a quick buck, who have no actual appreciation for the art. That's the nature of the game though.

I feel sorry for Mondo, because too many people seem to have a sense of entitlement when it comes to these things. I can't stand people _____ing about flippers. Most of the people _____ing about flippers probably wouldn't even want the prints if they weren't limited either.

Mondo has been getting a lot of publicity in the last year, and it's rare to read an article that doesn't mention the aftermarket value of these things. It's a part of the hype and builds the buzz and adds to the desirability--it's almost a point of pride for them, I'm sure. You want the perceived value of your product to be through the roof. Flippers are part of the equation.

Well, those people don't get it either. I've never wanted a Mondo poster or Sideshow piece and said to myself, "Well, that ruins it for me," after seeing a somewhat high ES. It's pure appreciation of the art for me. I usually think, "now more people can appreciate and enjoy it" if it has a high ES. So many people want the prints for the wrong reasons, and some people have somewhat skewed reasons as well. I'm happy to be in the pure appreciation category.

Did anyone hear if there were plans to release The Mummy on paper? I'd be surprised if they didn't, but it would be nice to know.

I am sure there will be a paper release on Mummy and Apes. It would be pointless not to.

Exactly. It is how it used to be with Sideshow as well. They loved bragging about how much the Weta stuff was selling for.

I've picked up the Mummy wood print, Moss variant set and the Danger Star Trek variant. If only ordering online was this easy. :lol

I'm excited to see what Kevin Tong has coming tomorrow afternoon. Hope it gets revealed before I head out of town for a week in the mountains! I love his work and I'm curious to see what film he's done this time.

Man, I missed out on the Stout Cap regular. I would have really liked to have one of those guys. Hopefully I have some luck in the lottery.

Kevin Tong has a poster being revealed today, and that should be the final new Mondo release at SDCC.

I love Tong and can't wait to see what he did. He will be there signing his prints--if anybody is near the booth at the time, you should stop by.
