You misunderstood me: I have the Ansin MUMMY variant. The only FRANKENSTEIN print I have is the Durieux. I begrudgingly passed on the Durieux MUMMY since I already had the Ansin and could only afford prints I didn't already have. I am still suffering from my splurging at the gallery.

I don't do twitter so I just opened my browser at work to the order page and happened to check it at almost the right time. I had Frankenstein, Mummy and Creature in my basket when I hit submit and then was notified Frank was sold out. I go back and then have to type all my ****ing card info again! I lucked out and got the other two. This is a first for me ordering from them directly. I paid $100 for Dracula this weekend on ebay having no idea these would be available on their site. I doubt I would have scored Dracula though. He probably went as fast as Frankenstein. Creature was last to sell out.

Man, I'm so ****ing pissed right now. Back in August Acidfree gallery was doing a "Monsters" gallery or something and I ordered that bigfoot Ex and an NC Winters piece totaling $143.

The tube never showed.

I filed a complaint through my CC (Amex) in early October, and after some correspondence with acidfree (they were pissed I opened the claim), paypal just ruled in their favor because they provided tracking showing it was delivered.

I have no idea what happened to the prints... my guess is someone stole it off my porch. And after being charged $143, all I have to show for it is stress and a complete waste of time. I don't hold acidfree responsible, they shipped their print, but in the end, I'm SOL and out $143.

What also sucks is that I'm working on generating some good karma and its apparently not working.

I recently purchased a couple of canvas prints from James Hance and he accidentally shipped 3 ( I only ordered 2). I went out of my way to return the extra duplicate canvas he sent to me by accident. I wasn't really expecting anything in return other than a refund of me having to pay unpaid postage plus return postage... which never happened. Not a big deal, total was only around $25.

But then this. Basically out around $175.

Sort of sucks.

Bad things happen to good people all the time. No offense, but I think it's crazy people even believe there's such a thing as karma. I'm not saying you shouldn't because it sounds like it makes people "better" citizens, but don't be hard on yourself thinking karma had anything to do with it . The motto that goes along the lines of don't do to others what you wouldn't want done to yourself still serves as a good one.
