Well my Ripley(s) and Hudson just got here. Hudson looks more like Hicks! The Ripley paint job is better than I thought it would be. I got 2 of her, one for the PL and one for the marines. I'm just going to have to get her a leather jacket, it's the only thing she's missing.

Hmmm...sounds like she's in for a rough time of it either way! Joking aside, I have the same idea, one for the PL vs Queen battle and another for the egg chamber confrontation. I wonder if Queenie will have the ovipositor or not... it would be great if she does, but I'm guessing it'll be the "stripped" version, to go with the PL. Does anyone besides me hope that HT is planning to make Bishop and Newt? Even just the upper half of Bishop would do! I'm sure most of us have visions of killer Aliens dioramas after we've collected all of the necessary characters and pieces...it's gonna be a real treat to see what everyone else does with their figures in a few months from now!

Ok, so I just looked over the last few pages and went to the ask sideshow thread. I also went and ordered one from HLJ. However, Im not sure what I should do?

Has SS actually confirmed that their PL WILL come with a Ripley? Or is there just going to be ONE PL release, with Ripley's for all?


The only thing I know for certain, it apears I should get a refund on my Ripley(unless I can trade her for a Hicks, Apone or Vasquez.)

We are still waiting for an official confirmation from Sideshow but all indications seem to suggest that Hot Toys is only going to release the PL WITH a special Ripley figure for the same price.

I was checking ebay last week and someone had just put her up MIB never opened with a BIN price of $100 or Best Offer. I offered $85 and immediately regretted it since I statred to think how hard she is to find now so I went back and was just going to do the BIN price and I saw that my offer was accepted. Probably the best deal on ebay I have gotten.

Ahh, I did a completed auctions search and saw that auction, congrats! It looks like I might have one on order as well!

I havn't been a part of the "SS is trying to screw us out of money on our PF boba fett" arguement(becasue I don't believe it) but this is a little different. These aren't made by SS, so it may not be their fault.

SSC only knows what HT tells them, always have, always will... maybe it would help if they actually visited the HT site as we have, to see there is NO stand alone PL listed on the HT site. C'mon SSC, get with it, collectors need to make decisions here!

Has nothing to do with SS. Hot Toys has apparently changed the product to now include a variant Ripley for the SAME price. Nobody is trying to screw you out of more money. If you ordered 2 Ripley figures you can return one of them. Whether or not SS will reimburse the return shipping fees for this will be up for them to decide based on the unexpected change in product. I would contact them WHEN IT IS CONFIRMED and ask if you can return one for a full refund. Until then, we are in a holding pattern. Expect something by Thursday night's newsletter.

In other news...

Pjam, I'm thinking maybe trying some HO scale light bars for the cage lights rather than LEDS. I'd rather not have to cut into the cage bars for the illuminator lights.

Also, any word yet from Lonnie about those new Frontline headsculpts for Hudson and Drake?

Good idea about the lightbars. Always wanted to ad those lights to the 1/12 PL model.

Im interested in Drake and Hudson heads as well. I have the Apone and Hicks(I just don't have the figures to put them on! Please SS convert my waitlist!!).
