Got my Drake today and he is awesome! I recommend anyone on the fence about picking him up give in and get him. Face sculpt is great if not the executed paint application but that doesn't stop anyone here The muscle body looks great even though the arm articulation isn't the best, the realness more than makes up for it. The armored vest is easy to put on and looks kickass, I have been holding off putting together my other marines but after seeing him together I will get them up and gunning. Hudson gets here tomorrow so he will be my next project, I am still painting Ripleys head so she has not been assembled yet but she will. Here is a pick of my Drake, would have taken a few more but the batteries went kaput in my digcam.

Hey One, nice build, man! Just a suggestion as I have a Drake too and totally dig him. May I suggest you adjust his hat by pulling it down a bit further down, maybe half way between the hairline and browline. I did that with mine and he looks REALLY badass. Anyway, just my 2 cents.

Are you kidding me bro? Like I have time! No, I just put Drake's hat on, that's about all the time I've had, and you know why. Maybe this weekend I'll do up Drake, others will have to wait for repaints... But I am SO glad I got him, he's the sleeper hit I think, lots of detail, different outfit and attitude, he WAS the "Tip of the Spear" and he kicks major ass, man...

Whenever they get it, please please please don't do the artistic interpretation thing! We just want Giger's original sculpt made on top of Bolaji Badejo's frame in 1/6 scale articulated form.
Is that too much to ask for?

Maybe some unwritten toy law that you can't have a "bad" word on a toy?

I agree, its just when I went to put it on the first time it didnt want to go on his head but with some tugging I did finally get it seated like you said.

There could be something in that. Aside from 1/6 figures I also collect wrestling figures and several figures that had t-shirts with slogans that could be considered offensive by some have been altered eg, a Steve Austin shirt that said "Raise Hell" in real life was changed to "Raise Austin" for the figure. Obviously that alteration sounds dumb but I suppose Jakks figured it was better to do that than get a load of flak from the moral crusader groups out there. Back to the topic I'm loving all the pics of the various figures in this line,I don't have any Hot Toys figures as yet but will be getting Ripley as soon as I have the cash,especially after seeing how good the sculpt is after a repaint.

Is anybody else still waiting for their Ripley from Alter Ego? Drake and Hudson arrived a coulple of days ago, but still waiting for Ripps! Was she backordered or something? I'm having a hard time being patient!!!

I haven't gotten my Drake yet but just look at One of Nine's picture...that is what 1/6 figures are all about.

That dude is just loaded with gear, I mean LOADED, plus you get the HT muscle arms that look fantastic. And to think, you can still get this guy for less than $80 at some stores!

Hot Toys is AWESOME!

I can't wait to get all the CMs built and up on display. Then the Power Loader and hopefully a queen. That's gonna be one perfect display.
