I wouldn't worry so much about getting Hicks, I think he can be kit-bashed without too much effort.
Get an Apone, use Hudson's HS and Les' or Lonnies HS for the real Hudson.
Repaint the parts of the armour that are needed, and all you're missing is the lock itself.
You need to get an accurate knife anyway, and then it's off to get a shotgun.
Get an extra body and you're all set.

And you can use Hudson's full BDU and armor set, they are identical (same camo pattern) as Hicks except for the grafitti which can be lifted with some rubbing alcohol. The EVA "Hicks" set also comes with a G-5707 combat knife & sheath!

You gotta remove the collar though since he doesn't have it in the film. I know, tough knocks but its worth it in the end.

You really have to wonder how these long sold out figures are suddenly converting. Either they deliberately held some back or else Hot Toys has sent them more inventory which just seems fishy to me. Perhaps a secret production run based on waitlist demand?

Thanks Chase, you should see it in hand! Definitely worth the effort to mod these guys out IMO, my guys are getting close to museum pieces... and this is THE set to do that for me.
