I bought the Hot Toys Alien Queen that came with the series 2 snap set off ebay last week. Thanks for your input gdb. The seller said it was approx 16 inches tall. He lied. It's just under 12 inches, as you mentioned gdb, but I had bought it by then. For the price, I'm happy. Here's a few snaps with the 14 1/2 inch Alien Warrior for comparison.

My pleasure, Creech. I'm glad you're liking her. I'm hoping Hot Toys releases a Power Loader for her to fight in the next Aliens Snap-Kit series. Thanks for the pics and review of the 1/6 Alien. I like how the dome looks in your pics. Looks like a real winner!

Thanks for the pics creech!
Funny, but I've been unpacking a lot of my figures in the last couple of days (most were in storage) and among them was good ole Frank, and for some silly reason I just thought about having the alien chained to Frank, like a good nice pet...

Ah, but who's whose pet? (That's hard to say. Who's whose...)

The HT Alien is nice, but it has a 5th spine on it's back (right below the neck) that isn't on the AVP version of the alien.

It is on other versions of the Alien, so that is probably where HT got the detail from. McFarlane's and the Microman have it correct.

Hey, pjam, thanks for the link to the bomber jacket, I picked one up for me. Gotta have Ripley in her bomber jacket, this is gonna really complete this figure for me! :chew

Oh yeah, now you got it going on! My pleasure Migwit, anything for a fellow freak. Congrats bro! I just bought 2 of them!

Here's another link I used to purchase these... first time using this site so I'll let you know how things turn out.

Please note this is the Dragon DML A-2 Flight jacket

How did I miss this when you posted it the first time? I'll definitely pick one up. And I might need someone to repaint my Ripley. :monkey3

Guess you can lead a horse to drink, but.... :lol

As far as repaints, I had mikey do my FL Apone and Les did my Vasquez (eye tweak). Remember Wor-Gar said Lonnie is working on FL Hudson and Ripley heads too... HT Hudson is in definite need of change but the Ht Ripley just needs a repaint IMO.

Oh boy, now I've done it!

btw, the Dragon A-2 "Ripley bomber jacket" also comes with jeans so anyone buying a Custom JAWS Hooper head from Trevolver can use those for him.

Well, I finally got around to putting together APONE and VASQUEZ...

Apone was easy. Vasquez was a biyatch! They look great when finished though. Apone is well worth it with the amazing FL sculpt and Mikey's kick-asss custom paint job!

Hicks is next. I've been putting them off while trying to decide if I needed to have the Hicks and Vasquez heads repainted. Finally just said screw it. But I had such problems with Vasquez, her pads, gun, snapping parts, etc, that I think I'll pass on Drake. I don't need another smart-gun headache.

And yeah, I know I gotta repaint Apone's hands to match.

The look great, Wor-Gar. Almost makes me wish I hadn't passed on these.

Thanks Batty! They are really nice, once you get through it. Talk about serious little army men! The details on all the gear is crazy -- most everything swivels or moves -- triggers, springs, ammo clips, etc. I keep discovering things that move. Of course sometimes I'm wrong -- like I thought the earphone of Vasquez's headset swiveled -- it sure seem too fine -- until it snapped right off. Turns out it was connected by a very tiny plastic nub that wasn't supposed to swivel. Superglue put me back in business... after the required panic and disappointment.

It will be really cool when I add Hicks and then Ripley and Hudson. Those five should be plenty for a shelf full of Aliens Marines... along with an Alien of course.

They came out great W-G! You even have Vas' chest plug wired in -- mine came loose from the socket, again superglue to the rescue!

I'm going for the whole shebang, love these guys...

I am glad I have Ripley on order. I'll definitely pick up Bishop if and when they do him. And I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that we'll see an actual Aliens figure.

Thanks P!

I hope Series 3 is Gorman, Bishop and Carter Burke. I know Burke is kind of uninteresting in terms of outfit but I'd still like him...plaid shirt and all.

They'll probably give us Ferro instead with pilot helmet.

There really isn't any other marines I would want -- even Frost is just another basic marine.
