The pose is a copy of the Giger Museum ALIEN, same as the Sano miniature figure.
I don't want 1:3, i want 1:1!

They have the Head done so maybe in the future a lifesize piece!

The one on display in the museum is just the suit standing there. Don't think I want a statue of that...pretty boring. Would prefer something more dynamic so that it actually looks like it's captured from the film and not a mannequin.

You have room for a 1:1? Lol. Wow.

I see where your coming from :) .

The best pose i've ever seen and i'm sure many would agree is the Sideshow Big Chap Maquette, standing 28" tall.
That is simply stunning, hence why it goes for fortunes.

Oh yes, i'd fit a 1:1 if they did one, even if i had to build an extension!!

I'm guessing the final product will be lame. I hope I'm wrong.

And why the fk does everyone insist on spraying such a bold black line all the way around the dome? The real thing didn't have that.

Agreed, I want that Sideshow Maquette so bad, but it rarely comes up for sale and when it does, it sells for astronomical prices :(

It is confirmed via Kelvin that this is a limited run for Japan, with a separate run (unknown ES) via Sideshow. So hopefully this will be much cheaper then.

That said, that 1/3 Big chap tease is the best news I've had in a long time in this hobby. I'm putting my sights on that at the expense of pretty much everything else. I'm tempted even to cancel my Wolf Predator LSB and Prime 1 ID4 Alien bust to put a bit of money into a pot for this beauty. The threads for it is here...

No sign of it on there at all for me. I wonder why this is so much more expensive than the others? The Dog has the skull under a dome also. CP's prices always have been hit and miss however. Shame...

It is showing on sideshow now also. Let's hope the new maquettes are more like Prime 1 prices, than Coolprops.

. . . Sideshow have the option of a payment-plan, starting at $202,50 a month though. Which may be preferable by some :)

Never understood the point - guess some folks have so little self-control that they can't put money on one side themselves.

Also, an alternative Sideshow "payment option" won't adjust Sideshow's poor customer service.

Plus reward points and you have to pay a larger nrd with BBTS.

Yeah - the "points" thing is useful if you intend to keep purchasing from Sideshow, and the larger NRD would be a concern if you are likely to change your mind.

I'd still rather get the better Customer Service though.

If there was a big difference in shipping costs - that would be the thing that sways me . . . and I'm not sure how the revised costs that started in January compare between Sideshow & BBTS.

.

I'll be picking this up if my Aussie retailer stocks it. I can use my points there to get 10% off which helps a little. I ended up passing on the others, but the Big Chap is just too iconic for me to pass on. I'm hoping that the price increase will translate into higher production quality.

I'm hoping that pose for the 1:3 Big Chap is just the T-pose. I'm not much for static museum poses myself. But we'll see when they release more pictures.

That $1800 hurts. I think I'll wait to order this one. I'm more interested in the 1/3 full statues anyway.

Yeah now all 3 are being done as maquettes im saving my pennies for then, makes my decision to pass on this easier , this looks amazing but looking at the other production busts I'd worry the paint would be the same on this
