Statue Alien: Big Chap Legendary Scale Bust

Thanks for the pics Mr. Regan. Didn't SS list the Big Chap as only 1/2 inch higher and 2 inches longer than the Warrior? Those comparison shots indicate the difference is much more. How much taller and longer is it Mr. Regan? I'm trying to figure out where I'm going to be able to display this given the bigger than expected size.

I would say 16inch high 22 1/2 long by 12 wide

Yeah I will email them and see what they say, no doubt they don't have any so it will be a refund or $20/30 credit which is crap.

Mine just came. Definitely have some QC issues. One of the mouth tendons was broken off and floating around the box. Theres also a decent sized glue smudge on the back of the dome and what looks like a minor knick in the paint on the skull under the dome. I'll post some pictures in a bit.

My status switched to Shipping Soon so hopefully it'll go out today. Bummed to hear of the QC issues--I expected the teeth to be bad but I don't want to have to deal with anything else.

So, here is what I have. Mouth tendon on his right side is broken and missing (not even in the box or stuck in styrofoam), so it's probably on a factory floor somewhere.


Tendon on his left side is broken off and was loose in the box.


Theres a knick or something on the skull under the dome (not on the dome itself).


I noticed air bubbles in the dome most likely from when it was cast. Unfortunately on the front.



And lastly the obvious glue smudge on the rear side of the dome.



I also found a few very large paintbrush bristles stuck in a few area but I manages to remove them with no issue.

I think this is a really cool piece and I like it a lot actually. But these issues I did not expect with something I paid $400 for from a company that seems like they should know better. This is only the second thing I have ever purchased from them directly. I suppose now I will be giving them a call.

Damn, gutted for you! Sideshow should be producing better quality than this bud, not good enough at all and especially at $400!!! I'm really nervous about getting mine now

I would return it with only half the issues you have. Totally not acceptable from a company that apparently has such high QA standards.

With the lack luster paint job and the horrible mouth, these QC issues are just a kick in the gut.

I am sorry...1) I know these just start going out and 2) that we really only see the minority here on these forums and 3) pics are much more details and closer than normally viewed by the naked eye, but that track record I have seen/been seeing from the Chap and War is just...very...disheartening.

As someone mentioned, for 350-400 dollars, there NEEDS to be better QC on these things. Dare I say better construction methods also. I know I have stated this before, those tendons just kill the looks for me.

If these things were 150 - 200, I could probably looks past issues a bit easier.
