Because Cobra Commander did, as well as another 1/6 figure from the Joe line...

I could see it happening, but don't want it to, because my CC helmet has kind of melted thing going on with it which is going to make is valueless.

if a $1400 statue doesn't get chrome treatment, then why would a $800 one? duh

Your response to my "should be" and this reason you have posted implies that you assume I'm suggesting that the Sideshow should be chromed because of it's price point ?
I'm merely stating that --it should-- like any and all Giger Aliens should, based upon the idea of it being a "biomechanical" being- Giger's reason for requesting it on the CM...

but I'm not making an argument regarding how "incorrect" the SS maquette is based on my statement -- I'm buying one also...despite the lack of chrome...

should be, but your guys all faithful Sano Aliens aren't even chromed at $1400+ a pop, so :dunno

btw
Try $700-$900 a pop ... the CM was $900 and that is chrome...

There's only 3 Aliens that I can recall off the bat having "chromed" teeth:
The CM, the 1/2 scale HHCG head, and the vac metallized mouth on the original Kenner Alien from 1979...

you say "all faithful" like it's a bad thing...shouldn't be for collectors...no one said they were perfect...mine even had a missing chest spur, but it's a pretty good likeness for a Giger alien in my opinion...
I can tell you all the ways it differs from the Filmed suit version:
longer head, higher shoulder clavicle bone, no chrome, no ribbed wrists, no elbow spurs, different-looking skull (maybe), no peeling skin, no mouth ligaments, separate fingers, no "flattened" guts details just belowe rib cage and above the puffy guts, no completely foggy dome...etc...but I like it just the same...and it looks great I think.

But in terms of faithfulness to the original HR Giger statue in Gruyere, which is what it's supposed to be? -- the differences? Chromed teeth, peeling skin, and one extra detail on the left shoulder to make it symmetrical to the other...that's pretty much it...

That's not even the point. You asked what color the nails need to be, someone replied with chrome.. That's the color they are, no one is attacking Sideshow for not making them out of chrome..you're just purposely interpreting it that way so you can troll the Sano statue that is, oh and pay attention to this part, MILES AHEAD OF SIDESHOW'S MAQUETTE IN TERMS OF ACCURACY. :wave

ahh, gee all golley, calling me out trolling, how original :lol :clap. A lot of you Alien fans are so ____ing sensitive towards the all mighty Sano, and it's hilarious. And I don't care how many miles ahead it is in accuracy, I will never want it :wave.

Not overly sensitive, just not tolerant of trolls who will randomly bring it up, for no reason whatsoever, in a thread unrelated to it, just to bash it. :huh

Freakin AWESOME pics!!

I really appreciate the pic w/ B.Chap next to the Warrior statue. That's exactly how I plan on displaying him. He really is going to be 28" tall! This is exactly what I needed to add to my Alien collection. :yess:
