I've known that from the 1st time I saw the film.
That's the reason why the BD Predator2 figure comes with an alien skull.

Ok , I guess inspired was the wrong word...
after in the movies this was shown it sent the fans crazy wanting to see the avp movie as they figured it would never happen in the movie world.
Also whilst making pred 2 I don't think there were ever any plans to make an avp movie but they did this just to send the fans crazy. Which it did.
