The only one I disliked was that ****** Greg Miller.

I absolutely cannot stand that guy, either. I'm glad how it's a general consensus around here that he's disliked.

Well, every modern language was born of the incorrect and vulgar use of it's predecessor, so you're beating a dead horse by being a grammar nazi, I used to be one until I learnt that fact, I still try to write and speak properly in every language but I no longer care about how other people do so.

The article correction is a funny satire though.

Well, a video game journalist like Miller, who gets paid for his written reviews and opinion pieces, should know the basics of good grammar and writing. His review was just embarrassing.

So by daughter they mean the one that died while ripley was adrift in stasis for 57 yrs? Hows that going to work? Why do they keep ******** on the movies?
The only good alien game i ever played was AVP Extinction.

They're not ******** on the movies.

It was Burke who told Ripley her daughter died after having a normal life, but Burke worked for the company and the company LIES.

So it's very consistent and interesting that her daughter lived, proving once again that the company is an evil corporation and that she wanted to know what happened to her mom which is nothing if not logical.

I'm not sure you can even call that a "retcon".

Do you guys remember his review for Dead Space 2? :rotfl

No I don't, but I'm gonna read that later.

What I do remember is when he gave Arkham City a 9 while Uncharted 3 a 10. People were furious and Greg decided to respond by posting a video on how popular he is and having the IGN staff team cheer for him. He totally misses the point, it's not about who who are, it's why are you insistent on Uncharted 3 being a better game than Arkham City.

All the years I've seen him, he totally comes off as a cocky, narcissistic jerk, trying to dominate conversations and bringing attention to himself. He thinks he's funny but fail to see that good, genuine comedy stems from the ability to first and foremost, laugh at yourself. A little humility works wonders, Greg.

You hit the nail right on the head with that one.

He tries to dominate conversations even when he's talking to the greatest of the industry.

And yeah he is not funny in the slightest.

Well we know when she died; we know nothing about her 57 years, so what's the problem? How does fleshing her story out mess with a throwaway line in a movie from 1986?

Absolutely! I don't believe that it's a retcon in any sense. If anything, it helps to build on the narrative about the "company" being this evil corporation that can't be trusted. It also provides a fresh new perspective on the franchise - something that's been lacking in recent memory.

He's definitely one of the worst personalities in gaming editorials. It's also funny how after Peace Walker, he showed himself as being this huge fan of MGS. But, if I can recall correctly, he made the mistake of referring to Big Boss as Solid Snake on a few occasions.
