Yes, I did hear that, and I am hearing mixed reviews on how much Predator vs Alien look will go into it. It will look cool either way.

Thanks for the note SilentSurfer. Initially when I put it up for display, I thought the same thing about the paint apps. Once I started throwing some flash on it during the picture taking, I noticed the colors pop out in the intense black of this. As soon as I threw some stong Halogen lights on the one I have, the colors popped as you see it now. There is alot of intense black happening which overwhelms the the incredibly beautiful details and colors of this. Only way I could draw the ones I had out is by some strong halogens.

I would love to show it once I am done (hopefully in a year) Right now, I have pieces set up in my study, but the shelving and background is not the way I would like it. I was just so tired of keeping these things in a box I started putting them up on my glass shelves. Problem is there are so many, and so many different themes, it is starting to look cluttered. I don't mind this so much when I work in my study as I love looking at the pieces. In terms of showing it properly as a display, I want to do it well, with the proper space for the pieces so that each piece is not fighting the other for a viewers attention.

Well, it is only a cash cow if you bought it when it came out for $1000 to the $2500 range. Personally I believe the price of this piece has maxed out. I came in at the maxed out price. If SS brings another one out, the prices on this will easily half down to the $2000 range, assuming of course it is an excellent piece, IMO.

I wish they'd make a "big chap" alien in the same size and style.

That's one of the best pieces of Aliens merchandise, if not the best ever. Batman I salute you, thanks for the pics. I have to admit feeling rather jealous though as I am unlikely ever to own one myself.

You know, I did not think I could get one for a while there, and presto one popped up in Canada. You never know when one will come by. I wish you well in getting one!

Funny you should mention that, Don Vito. I was watching the Godfather tonight and saw the scene where one of the Don's men gets his hand stabbed to the bar and then strangled from behind. Cutting your thumb off would be pretty close to that pain, lol.

I think it might be a bit tough finding one for $3000 mint in shipper and collector boxes. I have looked for a while, and in the US they were consistently going between the $4200 to $4700 mark. And I was not going to pay that as to get is shipped after taxes, and brokerage fee to Canada, I am looking at about another $750ish to get it here. This is why I moved on it when I saw SoundClown list in Canada.
