As nice as the piece is, rather than spending close to $5000 on something that originally retailed for $999, I would either wait for something similarly impressive to come out (you know it will eventually) or get something like a full-body life-size Alien.

You know, i have been looking so much...now when i think about it, id buy it if i see it on eBay for $4700 + shipping to Sweden :p If you see one that is to expensive, please let uncle Vito know :lol

Sooo, if I find you a SS Alien Warrior 1:1, does that mean the Don himself owes me a favor? Right on, the Don himself has made me an offer I can't refuse:D

they really need to do more larger scale alien statues an busts i think

I think SS seems to be going in that direction from what I have read on the forums. Personally, I think they are really low in the Marvel 1:1. What do they have there now, The Thing, 2 Spidey (one red and the black), Venom, and Iron Man.

I thought that too. Problem is that it takes a lot of space. This gives impact without the huge footprint. And I think the full body would be near the $8gs to 10gs mark. I agree SS will come out with something as impressive, but will be different. Only if they come out with the same Alien Warrior head would that happen, and I don't think they will not even close, IMO. Example: The Predator Bust. They introduced another one, same theme in Predator, similar but different bust, the original still holds it's own in value easily.

I think the same will happen with the Alien Warrior. Another will come out, and this will come down in price, but still be within the $3000 to $4000 range. If they do not come out with one, it will stay where it is at now, $3800 to $4700 range, again, IMO.

Why pay $8k when you can have the full thing - WEARABLE - for under $900!

Oh, and the Predalien looks sexy, but that thing is ginormous!

I've been so broke I've been out of the collector's market for almost 6 months now - this is nostalgic though to see these things turn up. I always have to go back for crap I couldn't afford before...

Well done.

:google& Come on, BuGz, details on that complete suit!! If it was under $900 did you painstakingly build it yourself piece by silicone-and-rubber-laiden piece or pay for the head and they accidentally sent you the whole 9-yards of boney brilliance?

I second that, I will be gettin an 8ft Alien for about 4k here pretty soon..:naughty

Oh, BTW, are the tubes metal?

They appear to be metal. two of them though, actually move, they are a metal coil. To me, all of them should have been that way on the bust, but nontheless they look great.

I am sorry to hear of your financial situation. I am hearing more stories of this then I imagined I would. I started late in the collecting, and am going back and paying more money for stuff I like ... And get somewhat upset with myself sometimes ... then again I usually end up telling myself that I am glad I am in the position to shell out the dollars for a collectable. I already know that many of my pieces I have paid the near the high end price for them, and know they will most likely not go up, in fact many may go down in price a bit. I am just thankful I am in a position to do that. And I am glad to hear that you too will be paying more for stuff you could not afford earlier, I hope it means that you will be in a great position to dish out some of the cake.

That bust is so sick...and sooooo expensive :google

Thanks, and yesssss! It definately makes a statement, both financially and on display.
