Golden Boy, was the EX number on yours a fairly low one?

Sorry, was out for the rest of the day! Mine is 176/500, but they're completely random, and I'm sure all 500 were shipped off...ours just seemed to land in Canada really fast!

Ah the joys of being the first one to post pics of a new piece. People already complaining and making you feel like you have to defend it. This has happened to me a few times. You think you're doing everyone a favor but then BAM! you spend the next few hours stressing over your decision of buying it and overanalyzing every little paint stroke and blemish asking yourself why you don't see what they see. Its a drag. All you want to do is enjoy your new precious. I'm glad you like it and I know pics do not do these pieces any justice so for putting up your pics so fast. Next time let someone else take the bullet for first pics.

Thanks! Yeah, I don't mind defending it, but it's true! Never have I felt more of a feeling where pictures didn't do it justice I know my pics were blah, especially compared to Fremen's above! But they did the job And I think when everyone gets them in-hand, people will be happy with what they get

And it was my pleasure to everyone who said thanks since I went out! I'm glad I was able to shed some light on the piece, and ease some worries for some! Not everyone may like it in the end, but I believe it's definitely a piece to see in-hand before you make that call!

Great review! I was thinking of doing a review of it also, but went the pic route this time to ease some minds! I don't think anyone will ever be able to agree on the colour...I just know it's a unique mix that really suits the Warrior (whereas Big Chap will be a lot more brownish/green hues.) That Queen you have is amazing! Love it. Colour me jealous there

It does look great if that's the way you want to display it! I just think you lose SO much awesome sculpt by not giving it a bit of a diagonal positioning. That said, it's a great situation to be in when a sculpt can be put in any position you choose to display it and it delivers

Col, you keep mentioning the great sculpt, and I think you're going to really dig all the detail work they did under the head, around the sides, and even on the back. If the room is there, this is worthy of one of those spinning displays people have

Agreed, mine will be angled.
I want it to look good from all angles and head on worried me...Not anymore.

Looks very cheap compared with the engineer statue,SSC always can not make their productions have same quality,even not high quality.

Can i ask anyone who has it in hand a pretty silly question ?? Anyway anyone can post up what the bases diameter is on this piece. I inted to put it on a small raised base with black fabric to make it really pop.

And to all the naysayers no way does this piece look cheap at all. With minor mods it can be quite stunning. The teeth obviously need a clear gloss on them and i believe if the same clear gloss was applied to the sinew it would make them look wet and shiny and not as out of place. For $350 its worth a 10 minute tape job and 10 second spray hahaha

Great pic! The colors look great, but I'm disappointed that the teeth aren't chromed. That will need a fix.

I didn't lift it up, as nobody is here at the moment to hold it for me while I measure, but a quick measure around the bottom looks to be 9Lx6W, give or take a little bit...hope that helps!

That's how I plan to angle mine. I'm in the middle of clearing out a room to do a modest set-up, so hopefully that's ready some time in the next few weeks! Maybe I'll give the review a shot...it'd be my first, so I'll see if I have a chance to put it together while people are still interested! But great job with your photos as well. Mine were quick snaps, but yours really captured the quality of the sculpt! Glad you're happy with it as well!

You can touch up a good sculpt like the Alien, harder to resculpt a statue like the engineer to get rid of those ugly legs. Alien wins.
