Super Freak
Well, now I'm officially nervous! *sigh*
If you are not happy with it, sell it to him and try again. Either that or fix/get fixed the tube, that is a minor issue compared to others on these.A friend of mine (also a rabid Aliens fan) came over and fell in love with my Warrior. He doesn't care about the broken tube and wants to buy it from me as is, so I'm thinking of selling it to him and getting another one for myself... Perhaps third time's the charm? What do you guys think? Should I attempt this? I asked my dealer what edition numbers he has in stock, I'm thinking perhaps later ones are more 'nitpick-free', is this true?
P.S. Contrary to most people who casually say 'I'm OCD about XXXX' I have been struggling OCD for the better part of 15 years, I hoped I would get over this minor defect on my Warrior but I end up always looking for it and it ruins the fun.
That's exactly what I'm afraid of: getting something that's worse. It's truly a lottery with these busts.
Also, my dealer informed me that since around this year's SDCC, Sideshow changed its policy and gives 3 months of warranty for items not sold directly through their website. This means that, for example, my dealer, who got the Warriors in stock in December, is now stuck with defective busts (such as the one I sent back with broken teeth) that have been sold in the last couple of months. Go figure!
Apparently the warranty is effective from the date the reseller receives the products from Sideshow. I don't know what the policy was before, but I can find out. Indeed my dealer is considering dropping Sideshow altogether, especially due to the BC and Warrior QC issues.

I'd probably sell it and buy one that you can inspect first ideally, whether it be in person or via detailed pictures from the seller. That said, you won't ever get a perfect one of these unfortunately, the production was a bit of a mess on the Alien LSB line. So maybe lower your hopes a bit. I'm picky to in general, the only way to be completely happy with these things in many cases is to fix and alter certain aspects yourself. Even the best SSC pieces I have, have flaws, it is the nature of how they are produced unfortunately.
To those who own this piece, how is it? Do you think its worth the money, etc? I am contemplating to go into my first LSB, and interested in Alien/Predator. Hoping to get some feedback. Cheers guys
