I'll get mine on Wednesday as well. Be looking for some well lit shots of the whole thing.

I didn't realize it was on the back, I'll let ya know what I find, but I don't get mine til Thursday. Even as is, still not a huge issue for me, that's all on the backside and I'll always have it displayed with a clear shot of the front, and my main focus is the creature. Doesn't change whether there are QC issues, but always better when the issues are somewhat liveable versus ones that totally prevent enjoyment of a piece. Like the Spidey logo on the statue, it's an issue, but I still love that piece.

I understand what your saying bro but this piece being a Diorama should have a flawless background also, thats the whole idea with Dioramas. Awesome background with an awesome pose of the collectible. If it was just a normal sculpt id settle for a half assed environment, but like i said if its a Diorama the background makes 50% of the piece in my opinion

This will be your first Sideshow piece, wont it Bardoon? Congratulations. I hope you wont be disappointed.

Nope!!! Actually I've gotten a few Sideshow pieces since my first.

My first actually was one of the Spidey 3 mini-busts...I think it was red Spidey, then Venom...and then I eventually got the black Spidey one.

I also got the Spidey 3 Venom statue (my first big Sideshow statue), Black Spidey 3 statue, and the Red Spidey 3 statue.

More recently I got the ALIEN diorama and AH! Black Cat comiquette! :monkey5

I have not been disappointed except for some minor quality issues.

I'm definitely in the Sideshow boat!.....................just not in terms of figures. I do not own ANY Sideshow figures...though I can guarantee you that my first will be the Indiana Jones figures (mainly just Indy). :chew

Got mine today!!!A day earlier!!!

Very nice piece! I like it a lot! But I am disappointed that the hive goo is not painted as it really would've made the piece even more impressive....because it really stands out that it was ignored. The bigger hive parts are mildly swept with a brush but nothing like the prototype. :monkey3 It really makes the big bronze pillar look "cheap" and like some little accessory display you'd find with a Hasbro or Mattel figure.

Still a wonderful statue but I think it terms of proto-to-production it certainly falls short compared to the ALIEN diorama.

C'mon Sideshow...get it together! You've been getting a lot of paint errors lately! I actually wouldn't have minded waiting a little longer for this piece if it meant getting it to look like the prototype.

I hate that crap man, if your gonna do something do it friggen properly man were paying good friggen money for this..

Sorry for the rant, but im sick of buying **** which is inferior compared to advertised products

Received my dio today and thankfully, was relieved to see it in person. Firstly, either it was bad photography or the person got a bad one, but the curve to the forearm was grossly exaggerrated in that phot, mine looks pretty straight like the proto type, which is good.

As for the slime - mechanical differentiation. The slime on mine is silver, and the mechanical elements are a silver copper mix. In the lighting of the room I'm in, they are distinct, and it all looks good to me. The said, I would guess that the more extreme contrast seen in the SSC photos is due to the ammount of lighting they have on the piece and the qualities of the paint react differently in certain conditions. The difference is nearly absent even in most of my photos. I can understand where some will be miffed that the difference isn't as strong, but I look at the dio and I see a nicely done piece all around and I'm very happy with it.

First, some images for Jamal that are more meant to show off the details. I will say, having this now, almost the size of an HT Alien (I'll post comparisons tomorrow, don't have my others with me here), I really wish the HT figure had been truer to the mechanical design, I still love it, but there are some cool details going on that I think HT could have used and would have had no bearing on the functionality of a figure.

Received my ALIENS Diorama from Sideshow today.

GREAT piece this beauty is. I'm really looking forward to all of the dios SS puts out.

Aside from some minor "paint problems" on the base (already discussed here), it's a really fantastic dio.

Here's the pics...

Con't...

The text on the base is pretty cool, but I'd have preferred them to not be embossed and have cleaner, more matching graphical effects to the film posters.

I'll have to try and shoot my dio in that much light tomorrow, mine doesn't seem like it's as minimally painted as some of the shots around here.

Well, since I passed on A3, this is it for me in the dio line until the next one is unveiled, hopefully that'll be soon.
