Cool man thanks, i just wanna see it detail and in scale with no effects for a few shots to get a real feel for the piece you know :)

I hear ya, that's just not really my style. Most pieces, other people tend to provide plenty of shots showing the raw details of pieces, I prefer to be artistic with most of my stuff. Off the top of my head, I'd say the aliens are about 1/7 scale compared to an HT Alien.

Well, one thing I can tell that's going to aggravate me about this piece already...Where's the coloring on the "goo" that's dripping down the base, under the Alien's feet?

Compare these 2 shots...

I'm pretty sure the Aliens don't drip bronze colored goo.

You know, Sideshow has more factories pumping these things out but they are running into A LOT more mistakes...namely painting errors. The lazy-eyes on the AH! Comiquettes, the spider-symbol on the Spidey 3 statue was missed to be painted black, and now from the photos it looks like the forgot to paint ALL the Hive goo on this ALIENS diorama. Not to mention that curve on the arm.

Is Sideshow getting any production samples to review beforehand or are they cutting corners now?

Hopefully we're not on a trend of quality going downhill. Because I don't know about all of you but for some of the money I pay for this stuff I expect to get what I see in the prototype or damn near close to it! And yes...even forgetting to paint something is considered a quality issue to me.

Well i can see a few quality issues with this piece man, and to be frank it shouldnt be happening for the price, there should be a strict policy when it comes to quality between proto and product

I would rather wait a few more months and get a well made/painted product, than a piece with obvious issues. Especially for the money we're putting down on these things.

Cant do much about it bro, Palisades did it and that pissed me off bad, all the Predator pieces were utter rubbish paint jobs and sculpts except for the Triumphant Statue. Maybe with this is a few bad eggs in the bunch

I agree the forearm is more curved than the proto, but it doesn't look that bad to me, and the goo not painted is a little saddening, but of the whole piece it's an element I don't really care about, the key part is the look of the creature and at least that looks done very well.

That's quite a lot of Hive goo that they sculpted on there...anyone with this can you get some clear shots of the back for us please? Or perhaps at least tell us if it's all painted.

They would've been better off not molding it on there and just having the Alien on a bronze pillar by itself.

I didn't realize it was on the back, I'll let ya know what I find, but I don't get mine til Thursday. Even as is, still not a huge issue for me, that's all on the backside and I'll always have it displayed with a clear shot of the front, and my main focus is the creature. Doesn't change whether there are QC issues, but always better when the issues are somewhat liveable versus ones that totally prevent enjoyment of a piece. Like the Spidey logo on the statue, it's an issue, but I still love that piece.
