"The power loader really needed to be seen in person to appreciate. The hydraulic hoses on the back are incredible. There is a button on it that makes the light on top blink. The hands open and close."

Ah, relief. Thanks for posting that.

22" maybe to the tip of the antennae, more like 18" judging by the scale of Ripley in it (12" plus 3 and 3 = 18") The Queen will be about 23-25" IMO, remember, even crouching abit, she had her tongue in Ripley's face...

I preordered mine, maybe I'll preorder it somewhere else cheaper later.
Yeah I get the feeling that the knees and elbows don't have articulation. But this is a prototype so we shall see.

The picture on the SS site says its 17" tall... the box is 22". Still, that's massive when you consider the claws and the girth of the thing. Its basically a vehicle.

I know it's just an estimate, but the product page says it weighs 10 pounds! :google
Ed-209 page says it only weighs 3 lbs.

I am not worried in the least about articulation... That thing will move and it will move like the film, you can bet on that. Hot Toys will not let us down there.

It's gonna be awesome, so I could care less what the details are... :lol

"Highly articulated" came from HT, otherwise SSC would never have described it that way on the order page, it will work great with the Queen IMO, that is how HT designed it... to recapture those movie poses, we shall see...

Hey Dusty, if you're watching, can you get a hold of Brant and let us know what the POA count is? (how many points of articulation)

Just curious...

Dave, it isn't too early to come up with cage light solutions. :lol

Seriously, we gotta figure this out, must have cage lights to illuminate Ripley's face for night poses against her majesty...

If I can do this to Jabba's throne:

then lighting Ripley's face in the power loader will be a piece of cake.

Damn! once the Powerloader came up for pre-order the Ripleys start selling out, I got my order in last night at sideshow. Now she is sold out, hope whoever wanted one got her.

So how exactly does flexpay work?

This can be a lifesaver for those things you can't live without but can't pay for all in one hit. The payments are spread out over a period of 2-3 months usually, with your credit card being charged a portion of the full amount each month. The schedule for the Aliens PL is: (this is from Sideshow's PL order page).

Aug. 5th - $83.33
Sep. 5th - $83.33
Oct. 5th - $83.33 (shipping/tax will be added to final payment)

There's a cancelation penalty, though. Just go to the order page via the latest newsletter and click on the Flexpay option. You'll get another preorder page for the Flexpay option, and you can find all the information you'll need right there. Hope this helps! :D

Way to go! That's cuttin' it pretty close, though!:google

Those sneaky devils... I had a feeling there would be a rush on Ripley as soon as the PL came up for preorder...that's why I locked mine in weeks ago! (heh heh heh). She'll probably be available elsewhere for a while, but maybe not for too much longer! :monkey5
