I am humbled you guys' comments. I'm always happy to help out a fellow collector. I don't have the skills that some around here have, but I like to do what I can. I just want to say thanks again to pjam for getting this thing together. You Rock Bro! :rock

You are most welcome D Boz, looking forward to your decals. These are the important details which will make this an amazing piece. We have a good team here! And Angie has been instrumental in the build up, she is an amazing person to deal with and we are very lucky to have her with us...

Okay, small casting updates:

In the past week or so we have made contact with a few other professional casters, and most have expressed interest in providing quotes to us for such a small run! This is good news guys, it means we'll get it done... these casters usually need exact dimensions or more detailed kit master parts info to provide quotes as they are not all that familiar with this project so that will take time. Mudshark and Stendec are working with Angie to produce mechanical drawings and spec graphics in the near future so we hope to provide these casters with rough dimensions and may get a few rough quotes but most likely the actual quote to produce these kits will come after Angie has started/completed her set of master parts, so hang in there. I suggest we use Chris' original casting quote of $32-40 per kit as a rough barometer but it doesn't necessarily mean the other quotes will be in that range, they may be, I just don't want to make any assumptions at this point...

So, we have other Casters interested in providing quotes... not bad considering we had none a week ago. I will continue to look for other professional casters... and will keep you posted.

Hi pjam. I e-mailed the caster I know, Mary Lacour earlier this week. She has not replied to me yet. I do not know if she will or not. She had been in and out of the 1/6 scale hobby the last few years. She did some great custom heads for Star Wars, Indy and other licenses, and then got burned out for a little while. I'll let you know if she replies to me with any interest in helping with the casting for this project. Thanks.

Have too say Ive looked at the pics that have been posted of Angies work and agree that given this previous work she seems ideally suited too this project

Very Impressive stuff

Will the deposits be taken by Paypal btw ?

Yes Mooncat, paypal will be fine when the time comes... I anticipate it may be around the time Angie starts making the master parts in October.

How about sending you a money order for the deposit pjam? I really hope so. Due to my overspending using Paypal for my eBay auction wins my wife has restricted me from using Paypal anymore. I can only pay for stuff I want from eBay or online with a money order. Let me know. Thanks!

Okay pjam. That's a relief for me to know so that when the time comes I can use a money order.

By the way, I just love your icon picture. The Christopher Reeve Superman is the only Superman for me. I've always wanted one that truly represented him in a 1/6 scale figure. Did you make that one in your icon picture? Did Les make it? I'm sorry if I've asked you this before.

I've seen a few custom Christopher Reeve as Superman figures on eBay, but none of them look as good as that one! I think I recall that it was a tribute for him, and not really for sale? Let me know. Thanks. :D

Not much new to report, we are in the build up phase and will be for some time but we now have at least 2 professional casters who will provide quotes for our kits. I am hoping to get a couple more casters on board and will keep you guys posted.

Mike, Les made that CR Supes...

I don't know if this will help at all. But I did run across this pic of one of the computer displays. Might be old news for some.

Sure Darth, any and all ref material is helpful so thank you Sir! As you know DBoz will be making some decals for us so this may come in handy (along with the screen grabs dekdave provided) for the computer terminal.

Hi pjam. I heard back from the caster I know, Mary Lacour. She was VERY flattered that I thought of her for this project, but said she couldn't do it. She thought that she didn't have enough skills at casting to make the sentry guns. Well, at least I gave it a shot. I saw that you said you have two casters that you're speaking to now about the project. That's good. I just wanted to let you know about the one that I knew. Thanks. :D

Thanks for your efforts Mike, I think we're getting a handle on the casters issue now. We have two who will provide quotes and I'll try to find more before Angie starts the project.

Well, we're in downtime now as Angie won't be getting started until October so hang in there guys. But it's not as if nothing is going on. Freak brothers Stendec and Mudshark will be providing specs and mech drawings to Angie during this period so we are all indebited to them.

Sounds great to me pjam. I am really looking forward to getting my guns someday once Angie is done. I know it's not only her...but many others that are helping to contribute to this dream project for us ALIENS fans to get done! Thanks agian to everyone involved! What a great group of people we have here. I'm very proud to be part of it with all of you! :D

One month closer. I'm still in for 4, have no problem PayPal-ing funds for them in advance. Thanks again!
