Alright, I just heard the news. WTF?!?!?

Chris bails because word gets out? What's the difference between comissioned projects here or over at another public forum like OSW? Is he worried about licensing infrigement perhaps? That's probably it. Still, that can be averted. Look at all of the customizers who sell their unlicensed work. Some projects I can understand need to be kept secret but this? Hardly.

Well, whatever his reasons, hopefully Angie will work with us. And if there is one thing I know about other "projects" is that a team of committed individuals can always pool their resources and accomplish tremendous feats. This will be no different. This is not going to stop this from moving forward.

Dave, please read my posts more carefully in their entirety. No-one said Chris bailed because of that. In fact NO reason was given or assumed by Me or anyone else and was stated as such. I don't know why he bailed. I mentioned he advised me that discretion was key here and it was echoed by at least 2 others working with us on the project. I just didn't want this project taking any more hits IF it was the case. THAT is why I took it underground and stated so.

Angie always has been and remains on board. I'm in constant contact with her so NO inference should be taken by anyone about her continued involvement unless stated so.

And I totally agree with you on everything else D, we'll get this done come hell or high water.

Any casters should know that SSC is very garage kit friendly. Look at the Cave Troll bust - it was unlicensed and instead of going after the sculptor/caster with a cease and desist, they hired him!

I don't know about Hot Toys - but no one has anything to worry about from SSC.

P, I was merely speculating as to Chris' motives and sounds to me like this could potentially infringe upon licensing which is why he's probably washing his hands of it with the affiliation of his business. Whatever his reasons, it's too bad but it won't impede what is happening. Glad Angie's still onboard.

Update: I have made contact with 2 other Professional Casters: They are household names to us. I will get back to you if rough estimates are received but don't know if either will provide one with only a rough parts breakdown at this point and they would be subject to change until they actually receive master kit molds.

72 potential kit orders out of a Maximum ES of 100 kits. Each SSF Member ordering a kit must agree that this special one time SSF offer price (tbd) will be for the personal use and Collection of the Buyer and for no other purpose. 33% Downpayment per kit will be required to secure your kit(s) once Angie nears her start date in early October.

Yeah, pjam, Dboz is definitely "THE MAN" in my opinion! He sent me an extra Hudson in a trade with me for my SS exclusive Boromir. I'm going to use Hudson to help make my custom Cpl. Hicks!
