Nothing's on the box, article isn't name as thing in question, hence no infringement. Gray area, but no infringement.

You're wrong about 1:12.
We sat with Ace last month:
Makina 1:18, diecast, lights, sound.
It's obvious what it's intended to be, there's a reason Ace delayed the release of the Great White and coy about future Makina releases, he was trying to get the official license and didn't want to upset the license holder during the talks. If he gets a cease and desist letter like he did on the Aces of Aviation "Top Gun" variant, you can expect Makina to stop.
1:12 and Gatchaman seems to be the main focus of Ramen Toys, Ace said he wanted to make a Truck in 1:12 next during a live stream.

Since you seem to know so much better, I'll cease communication here.

If Ramen/Ace got a cease and desist for their Top Gun figures, will the same fate end up happening with the DID 1/6 Top Gun figures too?

It's possible. Ramen did end up releasing all the parts for that Top Gun version of Maverick but limited to a buy all three figures in the early preorder. The other three figures didn't look like they're from Top Gun though one looks like Tom Skerritt but not the same helmet call sign as Viper in Top Gun. It may have been just a S&D from Tom Cruise's people. The other figure kind of looks like Danny Glover from Flight of the Intruder also with a different helmet call sign. Ace has mentioned that the Aces of Aviation will have future figure releases but with different gear.

Sounds like prices will be around $30 Condor, $50 ThunderHawk, $100 Rhino.
If that’s the case, Volcano and Outlaw will like likely be in the $100 range due to the size.

I remember being pissed at my much younger cousin for destroying my Volcano

still have the original toy but would like to upgrade to a mint Volcano.
