Actually its less than what I even said.

Wiki info:

DB = 153 episodes + 4 movies
DBZ = 291 + 14 movies
DB GT = 64

so thats whatever amount of episodes. lol

DBZ also had the Trunks and Bardock specials and an OVA movie (which I belive was never released in the US) as well as a newer movie/special with Vegeta's brother. GT also had one special as well.

The 14 movies included the the new DBZ movie but not sure if I included the Trunks and Bardock specials,

ANd I dont care about GT and its movies. lol

Wasn't the movie that was a remake of severall DragonBall eps considered DBZ movie 14 (which is kinda funny since it based on DB)? Eh, I've forgotton so much about DBZ. I liked GT when I was younger but not so much now.

No, its the new one that came out in japan last year. You must not have been bright when you were a kid. lol

Fixed~~!

I hated GT

Very sad news for enthusiast anime fans:

Satoshi Kon, award-winning creator of groundbreaking stuff like Perfect Blue, Paranoia Agent and Paprika, passed away yesterday. He was 47. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-08-24/award-winning-director-satoshi-kon-passes-away

I'm deeply saddened by this. He was one of the brightest and most unique people in the anime industry and one of my favorites.

I don't know how many people here have experienced his work (he's fairly popular in most anime circles I believe though his filmography is relatively short), but there's no better time to start, I suppose.

Yeah, I liked Paranoia Agent but haven't seen the others... I may try and get them soon and have a watch.

On a brighter note... NEW BLEACH on Adult Swim this Saturday!!! (For us dub fans who don't watch the episodes on the net! :pfft::wave)

Anyone know anything about FLCL since FUNimation acquired it? I haven't seen any more news or release dates.

That's sad indeed. I haven't seen any of his movies, but like you said it is a good time to start.

~~I just watched the Sky Crawlers and thought it was pretty darn good. I'm going to watch it again sometime this weekend so I can get a better interpretation of the movie.

if anyone is interested in a new anime, i highly recommend watching High School of the Dead...if you like zombie apocalyptic storyline with funny up-close **** action. kind of like the hybrid between Hellsing and Tenchi Muyo imo.

High School of the dead...sounds interesting enough. Im on episode 11 of Gurren Lagann. Still working my way thru that, but so far its pretty awesome and I love that art style.

I know the HOTD manga is good and I heard the anime is just good . My concern is the manga only has 26 chapters and isnt finished yet. so either there will be filler episodes or they will stop making the anime for awhile.

Gurren Lagann is in my top 5 anime of all time! Granted, I haven't seen tons of anime... yet... but of what I have seen, this is one of the best! Let us know what you think once you've finished.

I've heard nothing but good things about HSotD... I can't wait for the anime to be dubbed and released. I just ordered the first graphic novel this morning in fact!

Keep an eye on RightStuf... they have sales just about every week. They are usually studio sales, where most everything from a particular company is on sale, but sometimes they are general. They just completed their "back to school" sale which was pretty much everything on sale! The Soul Eater sets would have been a few dollars cheaper! I'll keep my eye out and let you know if I see them on sale anywhere.
