I presume he weighs a ton also ? :lol:lol

Really not too bad...I would guess around the same as the Hellboy PF. From what I have heard, Abe plays a rather large part in this next movie. Perhaps he will become more valuable after the movie is released....good to get him now, just in case. :)

good point , it just so happens i watching 2 , so hopefully not too many others will be interested.
Abe Sapien rules :rock

Good luck. For some reason poor Abe has never been all that popular. I hope that changes after HB2. :D

Well i like the design of Mignola, its pretty cool an the backstory of abe is great and now Abe Sapien got his own comic books :D.

Why didn't they make a PF Abe? Nobody bought it because it wasn't to scale with Hellboy.

For once and probably only once Collector Freak, I agree with you. :lol It really is too bad they didn't make him 1/4 scale...I can't even fit him in the cabinet with my HB PF.....he is really sweet looking though...the paint apps are top notch....I'm glad I got him....though it did take me awhile....definitely no regrets.

That is odd he's 1/3... was it maybe based off of a maquette, rather than an in house piece? Its really nice looking.

If I remember correctly it is based on the maquette model that was created when they were designing the character for the movie...they use 1/3 scale...and SSC stuck with that same scale. Now this is just what I heard...or read somewhere...I think it's true...but what the hell do I know! :lol

This is from Sideshow's site:

Based off an original concept study maquette of Abe Sapien for the Hellboy film, this polystone statue stands over 2 feet tall, and features translucent leg fins and hand webbing, and stand on a base emblazoned with the B.P.R.D. Logo.

If you look at the special features of the Hellboy DVD, you can actually see Del Toro looking at the maquette during production. It was funny because he said something to the effect that it made him feel sad because his was so "fat and ugly" by comparison. As far as I can tell, it's the exact same one Sideshow sold.

I really wished they wouldve made the Abe Maquette without the suit.
You see that version of the maquette in the makign of footage as well, and its so much better IMO.
still love the one produced though

well I managed to score one of these guys !.
Im happy now !!!!!. Can't wait for hellboy 2 right ???
