Has anybody here seen the humorous spots for Helboy II on TV?

Is there anybody else who is uncomfortable with the level of humor leveled at the character?

I know I am.

But if if gets people in the theatre....

Bought the 7" scale Wink by Mezco today... that is one hunk of plastic.

Saw the two 7" Hellboys too. Again, the face is really too cartoony. The cigar version is better but not much.

Mezco is due to release a set of 3 new key chains based off HB2; the BPRD logo, the Big Baby gun, and the Right hand of Doom. On the Mezco website they appear to be flat and made of rubber. But on sites such as Big Bad Toy Store they look metal and sculpted. They should have been released by now but there appears to be some kind of hold up.

Does anyone have the skinny on these?

As for the Hellboys I totally agree, I hate what they did with them this time around. The ones from the first film were soooo much better and the reason i'm not picking up any this time around...

Were the animated Hellboy cartoons any good?

The first one was just okay, the second one was pretty good. The best part about them is hearing the movie cast's voices (except for Niles, Doug Jones first voices Abe in the 'toons).
The animation is nothing to write home about. Very Saturday-morning, but considering the tight budget it's not awful either.
Good for a little HB fix before the main event on Friday.

Tonight I'm running a screening of Hellboy II. Since the print wasn't shipped until today, I wasn't able to screen it last night.

Unfortunately, I'll be running 10 other movies tonight so I won't be able to see too much of it. Just a peek.

If I'm not instructed to break down the print tonight, I might just have myself a personal late night screening of my own.

Just got back from seeing the picture. While it's great to spend additional time with those wonderful characters, I don't think it measures up to the first one. Sorry guys. I suppose we'll start a spoiler thread after this weekend so those who don't like it can discuss why without ruining it for those who can't wait to see it.

No offense, but weren't you the guy who came back from one of the first screenings of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull talking about it possibly being nominated for best picture? Maybe I'll wait to panic just yet.

Man, that Samaritan looks so cool to own.
