I saw the first 15 minutes of the film last night during the screening I ran... it looked VERY cool. Unfortunately I had to break the film down and give it to a security officer after the show so there was no late night screening for me. :banghead :banghead :banghead

The radio station putting on the sneak passed out T-shirts and caps for the film.... but I got squat!!! What no love for the projectionist? :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

You want me to start the film? Right?

You want the film to be in focus? Right?

Then GIVE ME A DAMN T-SHIRT!!!!!

OR CAP!!!! :cuss :cuss :cuss

yup. weak enough to spawn a sequel and a giant line of hot as potato selling collectibles.

Weak story-wise. Compared to the the comics, I mean. Myers should never have been conceived.

Still, I was a fan and it's better than many of the crappy movies Marvel has put out.

I'm seriously doubting we're going to see anything in 1:6 from Sideshow for this film. I hope to be proven wrong... c'mon Sideshow, show me some love at SDCC.

It's my understanding a previous Sideshow newsletter already said they were producing 1:6 figures.

Speaking of posters, I just scored a bus shelter poster of Hellboy II. I believe the dimensions are 40" x 60". VERY cool.

And my theater was sent the 30 sheet of Hellboy II by mistake, so the manager gave it to me. I believe these are used for billboards. IT"S HUGE. I'll try to take a picture of it.

I just read on the IMDb under Ron Perlman's listing that he is currently working an a third Hellboy Animated feature called "The Phantom Claw". It the first time I've heard of it. It could be just a rumor... IMDb has been known to make mistakes.

Can anyone confirm this third Hellboy Animated rumor? :monkey5 :monkey5 :monkey5

I sure as hell hope so. I love the other two.

I just bought the first two at Wal-Mart for $10; haven't seen them yet.

At the end of the credits of the second movie there is a quick tease for The Phantom Claw. That is likely where IMDB got it from because the last I heard there were no plans to go forward with the 3rd film. GDT has mentioned, in passing, the possibility of a new animated HB that might see him up against the classics of monsterdom - he is a Universal property now.:cool::cool:

The third movie has been canceled due to poor sales of the DVDs. :(

Tad Stones has confirmed this several times before.

No he's not. Universal is just releasing the movie. Outsides that, HB is not affiliated with Universal at all. They have absolutely no rights to the character whatsoever. Universal does though have the rights to make a 3rd film IF, repeat IF, Mignola gives it the OK. Mignola also has final say on the script and director just like the previous 2 HB movies.

Hellboy 2 is not an independent movie that Universal is just distributing. They paid for it, and they license the character for movie merchandise. The contract may include approval by Mignola, but he is a Universal property.
I don't really care either way, I just meant to say it was cool that he's shoulder to shoulder with the classic Universal monsters.
