There are five different sources for ML stands.

Obitsu stands
Bandai Tamashii Nations Stage Act 4 or Act 5
Mafex Stands
Toy Biz era Marvel Legends stands
-The Tamashii Nations act 4 is for figures, mostly for Bandai figure model kits, S.H. Figuarts, and Dragon Ball. The Act 5 is for Gundam, Transformers, or any robot style figure, but still works well with Marvel Legends and the other Bandai figures. Tamashii stands come 3 sets to a pack and are a better value ($14 for three on BBTS) than the retail priced NECA stands ($10 for one). The Tamashii stands also connect to one another for more stability and work with Tamashii effects that can be used with Marvel Legends. With the Tamashii Stands, you'll want to use the waist grabbing clips on ML, They come with both smaller and larger clips.
-The Obitsu stands can be found for around $6 a piece (Amazon has a set of 5 for $30 w/ free shipping right now). They have a smaller footprint but don't connect to one another and can be made to have Longer/taller arms. They also use the waist grabber clip for ML and come with three different sized clips.
-Mafex stands are hard to find and only come with figures.
-Toy Biz ML stands suck, I'd avoid them.
