LOL! :D I do have to say the paint app on Sunstorm really pops inhand. Definitely a luxury to have and not a necessity like the other MPs, but I couldnt help myself. The weird green camouflage on Acid Storm does nothing for me though, so I should be OK there :)

In the absence of Takara versions of Skywarp and Thundercracker with the MP11 mold I've thought about getting Sunstorm to fill out my Decepticon lineup a bit but as yet haven't pulled the trigger.

It's nice enough but other stuff takes priority particularly now there's some proper confirmation that Wheeljack is legit.

It's G1....but not as I know it :lol

I hear ya. I guess BW just made a real impression on me when I watched the premiere back in the nineties. I was fairly old by then - tail end of high school - but I LIKED it, a lot. Especially Dinobot. And when they revealed it was actually in the same timeline as G1, and not a reimagining like everyone assumed (at least I did), that was just the coolest. :)

Glad you like the tapes, which is your favorite mold & transformation?

The first time I transformed Laserbeak was one of the biggest "Holy Crap" moments I've had as a TF collector and Ravage wasn't far behind, they're both incredible.

The red & blue guys ( before anyone starts THAT again :lol ) are nice too but their transformation is fairly straightforward.

Not sure. I didn't end up really doing much with them before getting in the car with the fam and driving to visit relatives over the holidays.

I do remember liking Rumble and Frenzy quite a bit... Not the most impressive transformation I guess, but very elegant, I thought.

Ravage is cool, but I think he would have benefitted from some extra articulation.

Buzzsaw is great but I knew that would've the case, having Laserbeak already. :)

I don't even know whether the BW cartoon made it here or not, all I really remember was series 1 & 2 and the '86 movie so perhaps a fellow Brit can help out there?

Glad you like the tapes, I like the fact that Ravage has a seperate stage just for his nose :lol

I got a ransom note from ParcelFarce this morning informing me I have to pay £22 to release my other Smokescreen, the one I ordered from Hobbylink Japan :gah:

I think BW was aired in the UK, not sure if it was just on Sky though. That stings about customs fees, I usually go with UK sellers to avoid it. My Smokescreen and Bluestreak arrived today, will be opening them tomorrow along with MP11 reissue that arrived last week :)

I'm pretty sure we did get the series on telly back in the day.
I actually have the entire series on VHS from when they were released, I actually really enjoyed it as a show.

The fact that it was in the G1 Continuity & actually featured the G1 cast at one point was awesome.
But the best bit was the writing, it really was leaps ahead of the original G1 stuff it really showed what could be done if you handle it right.

I do think that every TF fan should watch it at least once in their life.

I did go bonkers with the Toys & now wouldn't mind parting ways with them now but at the time they were great & the articulation was something I could have only dreamed of with the G1 originals.

In other news my Smokescreen arrived this afternoon :yess::yess:

Just need to open him & Bluestreak & then finally grow some ***** & transform all 3 ;) lol

Awesome:clap I now have a new Christmas background. Hope everyone has a great day. I'm off to the missus' family for dinner but I'll be cracking open my MP11, 18 and 19 as soon as I get home :yess:

Anyone else order this book?

I used to spend every spare minute I could when my Mum and I were in Kmart, staring at those G1 boxes, even when (especially when) she said I couldn't have those beautiful toys...

That box art used to give me the nicest dreams!
