It's been almost a year and half since they announced Chun-Li, yet not a single sight of her. Meanwhile, third party studios released Chuns et even Cammy.
Seems like everyone lost interest in Iconiq and the thread became a SF collectible thread. 🐢

It's only my opinion but since the CEO left Iconiq, they seem less active about figures and leaning toward board games.

Do we have the SF 1/6 Collectibles thread? With a lot of 3rd party companies doing SF figures, I think it’s best to discuss on a separate thread, don’t you think? Or change the name of this thread so it’s more general.

I wish Mortal Kombat got this kind of love. How the hell are we not getting the MK2/MK3 girls? Easy palette swaps and easy money makers imo. MK fans and horny collectors would eat it up:ROFLMAO:
You’re speaking my language.

I was upset McFarlane did one Kitana figure and then never made any other female characters. No Sonya, Mileena, Sindel, Jade… Even Storm Collectibles struggled to put out female figures.

Which is, as you said, missed opportunity with their popularity and easily reused body molds (classic ninjas being outright color swaps).

I may also be craving a Kitana vs Chun-li display on my shelf if the gaming gods never get around to it.

Just use this thread
I think it's not good for a long time term if there's no name change. It's not organized, for searching purposes, and for new members. Considering Iconiq is slow in releasing their figures and like I said above, more and more 3rd party companies are releasing theirs. If that continues, Iconiq thread title is not relevant anymore and it felt like we're hijacking the thread. It's better doing it like other Video Games thread like "Resident Evil Customs" thread or "Final Fantasy VII Remake Collectibles" thread. So more like general "Street Fighter 1/6 Collectibles" and we still have individual threads for Iconiq Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li. Just my opinion.

I've been thinking about this for a while. I don't even like the FF7 Remake Collectibles thread, because there's so much stuff going on in that thread. At times, it just becomes a "Anything Game Toys thread", people talking about FF15 and 16 figures or their other anime figures.

I much prefer to have one thread per product, it's much easier for organization and search purposes. I'd split them off, but at this point it's been going on for too long and there's just no practical way for me to go through and move posts to new threads.

But yes, talking about unlicensed Play Toy and Starman figures in the licensed Iconiq Street Fighter thread is not something I'm a fan of.

There really ought to be company specific threads, at least for the popular brands. This sort of discussion is inevitable when a brand's reputation determines the level of excitement and trust in a product. If you want to directly compare the success of the Star Man Chun Li or Cammy to the upcoming Star Man Tifa, either you're off topic in the SF thread or off topic in the FFVII thread. People want to talk about OneToys Jinx in the OneToys Kratos thread. Every LimToys thread just becomes a discussion on LimToys as a whole. And so many companies these days start talking about potential product long before it goes up, that it isn't feasable to contain all discussion in per-product threads. It's actually funny how many LimToys threads there are for products LimToys hasn't actually announced. I do think the FFVII thread should just be renamed to a generic Final Fantasy thread, though. There's extreme overlap in people who are interested in FF7 product and people who are interested in product from the rest of the franchise, and so far, the same is true for the people manufacturing them. GT is also making FF15 product, ToysEra is also making FFX product, etc.

Kitana is my fav character and my main in MK. Shes all I need!

This guy hit all the right poses.

There are currently three reviews on Bilbilli but, my favorite one is by the same person who took the photos above. Star Man - Cammy White review. Although, I did not understand a single word I had a few takeaways:

- he appears to be a fgc (fighting game community) fan based on the great poses he emulated

- the body is most likely the same as the Star Man Chun-Li which unfortunately, has the issue whenever you bend the elbows, you can partially see the metal skeleton through the silicone

- it comes with a ton of camo stickers in the eventuality they will rub off or if you misplace them

- I like how the figure utilizes a magnet to keep the beret on and it appears to have a good hold even if you shake it

Looks like another winner from Star Man and I wonder if Play Toys have fixed the balancing issue of their previous release when their Cammy comes out.

Your link for the review didn't work for me

Well i don't know wich pose i'll use with this Cammy, if elbows are fragile we cannot bend the arms too long...

Do you think this pose will be ok for shoulders?

If not i will use this classic pose

Dude, this cammy is very good, I didn't like her prototype very much, but honestly thinking it's better than the playtoy version so far, I'm very happy with the results of the Third Party companies

Hrmm, I surmise the link is more optimized on PC browsers than mobile.

Arms up will put lots of undue stress on the shoulder area. I'd be more willing to leave the elbows with up to a 45° bend for a long period of time than put that much stretching on the armpit. There should be zero issue with the second pose, that's about as good a non-museum pose you can get for longtime display of a seamless body like this.

I've just ordered mine, I paid a good price on Aliexpress. The prices of this figure are rising very quickly, so I decided to get this one so I could see the playtoy version later.

**A few screenshots I took of some reviews from China

I also ordered off AliExpress. Super excited to get it. I ordered from a gold rated store. There were cheaper options but with the promos they had, it ended up being close to giantoy price.

The seller said they expect to receive them in a week and will ship out as soon as possible.
