Tempted to get him just cuz of the silver car mode, but I'm not that big of a fairlady fan.

I got mine as well



I really like the silver paint Takara used which makes for a great contrast from the cartoon colors and it's also nice to have a set of those launchers as I never got the black one as it wasn't accurately colored for any version of Prowl or Bluestreak.

Like Smokescreen MP18S has the slight issue with the right hand not being able to grip the pistol 100% properly so there's already been some mold degradation but if Takara finally do the Diaclone blue version then I'll snap it up without second thought as all the other joints are fine.

One minor thing that suprised me was the lack of a tampographed Autobot logo on the car hood but I think I've got some white backed ones in my spares box so I can soon remedy that.

I'm not sure which Streak I like best as they both hit the nostalgia button extremely well but after so many years messing around trying to reinvent the wheel I'm just glad that Takara finally listened and started giving us the ultimate versions of the '84 Autobot cars.... and Wheeljack is next

My Silverstreak arrived today too. I also really like the silver they used which makes it stand out next to Streak. I'll display mine with Tiger Track I think. Corsair, takara included stickers for the hood, 2 sizes in fact, in stead of tampos. Similar to what they did with TT last year.

Thanks for that, I didn't realise they were in there. I'll use those instead as the white background on my Reprolabels Autobot logos was printed a bit unevenly.

Nice! thanks for sharing. Im really loving the look of Silverstreak,moreso than the original paint. Makes him look more robotic with that shiny metal look. Get mine in a few days,I just might have to order anotherwallet

Loving the shots he looks awesome & the difference standing next to Bluestreak is enough to warrant having him in the line up

I can't wait for Wheeljack now, August still seems so far away...no helped by the fact that I have a season ticket to Southend United now as well so I'm counting down to the football season as well so the slow drag to August is killing me

Lol yeah & it wasn't helped by the fact that I forgot the missus is out tonight so haven't had time to even consider opening him up...not with a hyoer active 2 year old to contend with

I personally don't see the point of silverstreak. I don't think it's all silver body is enough of a change to justify basically buying the exact figure over again. Now if they painted him partly blue, that would be an entirely different matter.

Even though I'm not buying it, I think that release makes perfect sense--the G1 figure really wasn't as dark as the first MP release.

MP18 is based on the cartoon colors with some reinterpretation eg the flat grey of the animation model was changed to a the dark silver and the chest was changed from flat black to a glossier finish.

MP18S is based on the G1 toy colors and includes 2 toy accurate shoulder launchers to fit over the other ones.

A 3rd Bluestreak variant would be based on the original Diaclone toy pictured here,

I've always loved the blue colour scheme. Back in 2001 I bid on a Diaclone blue Bluestreak on eBay...very pricey even back then and I couldn't afford it. When Takara did ehobby reissues of a lot of the Diaclone colours Of other bots I was hoping they would do it but they only did anime Streak. I would love if they did a masterpiece version.

Well I think that, largely, Transformers collectors driven by nostalgia have their nostalgia determined by one of two things: 1) the cartoon; 2) the toys. For me, it's the cartoon all the way, though I do have a few exceptions where I prefer toy differences, like the police badges on Prowl. But I think it's cool that Takara is appeasing both these groups to some extent here. And also, of course, those who collect for other reasons and just want as many variants as they can have of this guy.
