so BBTS has despotron already?

Even there I'm not sure it is a fair comparison, as Takara has to deal with a much more extensive administrative overhead, with management, marketing, distribution, adherence to various national and possibly international quality control requirements, etc. Now they also get a benefit from the economy of scale. But it's impossible to know how much profit Takara is really seeing vis-a-vis your typical 3rd party company/recaster, etc. If I were a betting man, though, I would guess that the 3rd party guys can make much more in terms of net profit than Takara, because there are so many fewer people getting their cut. While I do feel Takara is getting greedy, I don't think this is a fair comparison. Takara has artists, designers, engineers, sculpters, illustrators, painters & photographers to pay: the KO's don't. They just take all of Takara's hard work and clone it; their only costs are materials & manufacturing.
A more fair comparison would be the 3rd party companies; while they're stealing the IP, they're still doing all of the same work as Takara-Tomy. If Mastermind Creations can sell their great-looking Inferno for $99, Takara can too.
This looks really good and looks very clean. Could be...Could this be Takara's 2.0 Megatron? It does have similar legs and feet to their Shockwave.

This was a crazy surprise to wake up to. After reading the commentary on TFW2005, I would be shocked if this isn't Takara's work. It's the most screen-accurate Megatron we've seen, with the best-looking alt mode, and includes the gun attachments (which transform into a stand for the figure).Could this be Takara's 2.0 Megatron? It does have similar legs and feet to their Shockwave.

Ordered Grapple at amiami.
Once shipped, does the price difference really make a difference anymore? Considering EMS is now through the roof and so is the Yen....
