Thanks to Chris Delarmente for the translation on the text in the magazine scans!

In summary:
- The canon will have light up and sound.

- It was designed to be in proportion with the anime. Although the legs are thick and arms wide, etc, transforming from gun mode won't be delicate (a delicate process), and (Megatron's) charm is his majestic physique.

- Being particular about the mobility space, the shoulder has a swing mechanic and the canon on the right arm is supported. The lower back also has a good "axis of revolution", this action figure has a high degree of perfection.

- They are basically telling the consumer not to worry about the transformation process

Toy gimmick

Pointless, but why not?
Ah-ha, thanks!

Man, the masterpiece toy looks so flat & dull compared to the metallic, high-contrast original figure.

That's great! After MP-05 it sounds like they learned their lesson.

I hope they release other variants for those that want them. I personally prefer the cartoon aesthetic (and flat coloring) but wouldn't mind a metallic or a black variant.

But, this is how the line is going forward, and it is more than obvious based on latest releases. In fact, a recolored (or flat out newly designed) Prime is something I can't imagine NOT seeing in the near future.

I'll probably be picking it up as I prefer the bot mode to Apollyon. Don't love it as much as I hoped I would but that's probably because I prefer the older MP style. I do think Apollyon has a better gun mode from what I've seen so far, so he'll still be put to good use :)

I almost, almost bit the laser beam and picked up the MP05.. Thank God I dodged a cannon! #badpuns

I'm confused why takara split the section between his upper and lower arm as half grey/half red. Both parts there should be red, based on the source material; my only guess is it was either in error & will be corrected later, or that upper part is somehow visible in gun mode where being red wouldn't work.

The area around his neck looks an absolute mess as does his back kibble. Apart from that, its a nice addition. Pass for me though. Maketoys Megs is far superior proportionally in my current collection

So seems like I'm the only one here who really dislikes this. I personally feel it looks pretty bad. I like the legs but the torso has a lot of issues for me. It looks terrible both from behind and on the top (like you see in this pic). I'm not big on his overall proportions either.

I'm all for options though and it's great that there's another option for people who don't like the existing MP Megs out there.

All things transformers!!!!

Wow.

So, same size as Titan metroplex. I might get it when it comes out in 2022

Another peak at Masterpiece Thrust final product. I like the way the red is more of a deep cherry here, although i fear it's just the lighting/photgraphy.
