He's a shrunken Masterpiece Prime without the die-cast parts or light-up feature. Additionally, he comes with a swap-out "animated' head and a more articulated set of hands.

He's sold out at the moment but according to iGear wave 2 will go up for pre-order in June for a July release.

Thrust is one of those rare exceptions when a Hasbro paintjob is better overall though the purple Decepticon logos on the Takara are nicer but I'll just stick a couple of reprolabels over the silver ones.

I'm more intrested in the Blurr repaint of Drift but I might still get him anyway as I like the mold.

The Botcon Exclusives continue to make me glad I can't get them easily over here because just like every year they're bloody awful though I have to give Hasbro credit for being able to con the hardcore fans into thinking they're getting something special for going to Botcon instead of crappy repaints of molds they probably didn't sell enough of first time out.

Generations wave 2 is looking like being,

WFC Megatron
WFC Soundwave
Red Alert
Darkmount ( Straxus homage )

I'll only get the WFC pair from that wave as I already have the Henkei version of Red Alert and after receiving the amazing FansProject Warbot last week want nothing to do with any Hasbro Triple Changers as they'll inevitably fail to live up to it.

2007 Thundercracker ( Only because the Henkei version has VERY loose joints )

2007 Thrust ( If the asking price of this drops to a decent-ish level because of the forthcoming Generations version then I'll snap one up )

TF's for me started with the first couple of years of G1, then took a break until the year 2007 when the first Movie came out so anything that happened in G2, Beast Wars and whatever else came after has no meaning for me and I have no time, money or intrest in going back and catching up with any of the cartoons, comics or toys.

I realise this probably doesn't make me a "true" fan according to some viewpoints and inevitably makes me a target of pathetic jibes from such TF "freaks" ( not you ) for a lack of knowledge but frankly I have more important things to care about on a day to day basis eg helping my daughter get over losing her mother when she was just 5 years old and continue to grow up in as normal a way as possible.

I dont care if it is G2, what was a rubbish color scheme and paint job back then is still rubbish today.
I think its funny that the elitists who go to these cons and can afford to buy these sets think they are bigger fans and better collectors than others because they can afford to waste their money on this junk.

If youve never seen the countless threads of botcon-freaks _____ing about how their botcon sets are now gonna decrease in value because they are being turned into a general release and people shouldnt be able to buy those molds unless they pay an exorbitant amount for the exclusives then you need to do some research.
