TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON SPECIAL EDITION ULTIMATE OPTIMUS PRIME FIGURE
(Ages: 5 & up; Approximate Retail Price: $79.99)
Fans will have their first chance to get their hands on the new TRANSFORMERS MECHTECH ULTIMATE OPTIMUS PRIME action figure at Comic-Con, with a special edition foil-wrapped, slide-out package and customizable sticker sheet. This special edition ULTIMATE OPTIMUS PRIME will be the only way to get the figure displayed in vehicle and trailer mode; the trailer doubles as a weapons arsenal and is an integral part of the figure's converting play pattern. The MECHTECH ULTIMATE OPTIMUS PRIME figure features lights, launching projectiles, electronic battle sounds and phrases and three modes of conversion – vehicle, robot, and robot with "mech suit." The trailer, which serves as a weapons depot and command center, also converts into a "mech suit" that OPTIMUS PRIME shows off when it's time to rumble.

I recieved part of my Shapeways order yesterday, some rifles for Classics Prowl & Silverstreak based on the ones from the G1 toys,

I also ordered one for Smokescreen as well as a set of Kup's pistols from "Last Stand of the Wreckers" but for some reason they split the shipment and I only got the first 2.

I painted them with Tamiya chrome silver.

It's the supposed new Buster Prime. Premium paintjob (no chrome), DOTM remolds, and a shield and new gun. No pics yet though.

This one will be baddass. But isn't Buster Primes bottom feet and windshield top trim whatever you call it the only chrome parts?

Yup. I will miss it on the windshield pieces, but I don't mind that the grill will be de-chromed. No risk of scratching it.

At least the paint should still be nice. I agree with you about the grill. It would look nice but I would worry about scratching it.

Most Vacuum metalized chrome is very strong and durable, ive never had a problem with it on any of the toys i have that have it. I have a 2007 takara premium prime which has chrome all over it including the feet, had it for 3 or 4 years now and never had a problem.
Its when the chrome has been painted on is when you need to worry.

iGear have revealed PP-04,

Looks like they've dropped the New Beetle reshell of the Classics BB mold and are doing an original mold that turns into a Classic Beetle :yess:

Classic Beetles forever!
I'll make an exception to my rule of not allowing KO's into my collection if the actual toy looks this good. I'll get two, one for my display case and one to stick in the back window of my '72 bug.

Lots of repaint potential with that mold too,

Bumblebee
Goldbug
Glyph
Bugbite

If the car parts were reshelled,
Cliffjumper
Bumper\Hubcap.....are these two the same character?

That definitely looks terrific. I'm happy with my Classics Bee (love how much personality it has), but that looks like it will be the ultimate G1 Bumblebee figure.

man.... I really disliked IGEAR.. but now... man... they are making some "original" stuff I want....

Ohh..let's hope JETWING gets here soon!!

They're certainly trying to get past their controversial beginnings and if Ironhide, Ratchet, Bumblebee & the other Minibots live up to their promise I can see more people being won over.

And that's without mentioning Impactor and the possibility of the other LSOTW cast.

All the heads are done so hopefully they have original molds planned for Guzzle, Rotorstorm, Pyro & Ironfist.

My only concern is that they become a bit TOO ambitious and Hasbro's legal Wreckers spring into action but whilst the figures are released in such a limited way I cannot see that happening.
