Plastic is great.... floppy mess though.. you will need to tighten them...

here is how it looks right out of the package

Thanks for the info. I love the WFC Prime design but never bought the Generations\United one as I felt it was too small. I might take a look at the oversized one though.

Are the joints difficult to tighten?

Awesome bit of news from iGear's Twitter,

The Cliffjumper variant of Bumblebee will have reshelled car parts so he'll be a Porsche 924 just like G1 :rock

First pics of the new Prime toys! Looks like every fan will be happy this week. G1 fans are covered by 3rd party companies, movie fans will most likely get to see the new toys today (come ooon leader Megatron and HA Soundwave!) and then there's these for the fans of the show. The Vehicon and Cliffjumper (who will get a normal version as well) are a bit eh, but Prime and Bulkhead look fantastic!

the soundwave is great, but sources tell me it's an oversized KO with styrene and articulation added. what sucks about it is, the size. Slightly too small vs. MP seekers.

I've seen people posting that, but there's a pic of him right there with MP Starscream, and he seems to look great...

I mean, there might be some perspective trick going on, I suppose, but do they think he needs to be as tall as Starscream's intakes, or just his head? Personally, as long as he's just about as tall as his head, that works for me.

Looks way too intricate to be just an oversized KO. I mean, there's not too much you can do with G1 Soundwave's transformation, so I can' see why third party haters might say that... Perhaps that's the case?

G1 retool or not, looks amazing.

Ah, I think I see what people are saying about the scale now...

I really hope he's as tall as Starscream. It is a bit hard to say with these pics, especially the second one.

I will definitely wait until reviews come out on this one. Might wait for the inevitable iGear version if there are problems with this. If it's out of scale or something like that, another company will no doubt release a version the fans want.

From the IDW panel. Looks like the comics are taking a huge turn for the better! :rock :rock :rock

-Starting January 2 new ongoings. One titled Robots in Disguise, one titled More Than Meets the Eye

-Transformers #125 ends current run. #125 because they totaled up the number of all Transformers Books done so far. This one lands at #125.

-Nick Roche drawing More Than Meets The Eye, written by James Roberts

-Robots in Disguise will be drawn by Adrew Griffith and written by John Barber

Wow, you think they'll give it that much thought? :hi5:

They'll probably pack 1 MP Roddy in a case of HA Bumblebees as we've not had enough of those :lol

Hasbro UK, the "geniuses" that thought RPM's would be a better seller than Generations :slap

he was up right before i posted it. allmost ordered one, but decided to wait for reviews wthat with all the QC trouble with the takara version.

also, some comics news from the IDW panel

Transformers #81 is happening, and that run will end with issue #100.

Where to even begin with this guy...well, too many hours went into him, I can say that for starters. This is my interpretation of the "Ultimate" Optimus Prime, although he doesn't have an alt mode, this custom has countless articulation (literally, I am too lazy to count it all) and other cool stuff. There are 10 LED lights on this custom. all with accessible batteries.

Here's the list of modifications and extras :
- Custom built hands each with articulated wrists and 10 points of articulation
- 2 interchangable heads via ball joint socket, including the "Ultimate" battle mask, with clear visor
- Each head "plugs" into a working blue LED light
- Custom built wings which can be positioned/spread
- Custom jetpack with red light up LEDs
- Sound/voice chip including a handful of power-up noises and phrases like "I am Optimus Prime"
- Custom thrusters (not jetpack) with another pair of working red LEDs
- Custom fit "Dark of the Moon" abs and torso
- Custom rear-view mirrors on chest
- Hand painted and pin-striped flames with fade
- Removable/snap-on energon swords (each with light up red LED light)
- Custom built gun, snaps into forearm, with light up red LED light)
- Custom waist area armor, with swivel side parts
- Legs include articulation at upper thigh (allowing swivel outwards)
- Feet on strong, tight ball joints
- Gatling guns on both forearms, with ammo belts
- Towers at 12" / 30.5 cm tall
- Weighs 35.8 oz, 2.2 lbs!
