It's probably the perspective that makes it look off center. The head looks like it's far back, and with it turned while the body is posed liked that, it makes it look like it's not in the middle when it is.
Looks like there's some kind of joint on the bottom of the thigh piece,
That's a bit of a disappointment if the knee joint's located there. The thighs are already so short, and this would just make it look worse.

Wow, Mixmaster looks awesome! Scrapper and him are definitely the best of the set.
Not that fond of Bonecrusher, but I do like how he has aesthetics similar to Scavenger.
Oh, and for those of you curious, here's an update on Megatron. The build is almost finished, and then comes the painting!
EDIT: Oh damn, look at what Mixmaster's barrel does!

wow, thanks Bob. Looks like you really can't go wrong with either one. I guess the only reason I'd go more towards Herc is because he's taller

Looking at them, the Hercules is the better figure, though Giant does a few things better. The head, the chest (I miss the cab on Hercules), and the arm-components look like actual vehicles, rather than boxes with a crane and a shovel. But for the rest, Hercules is superior.

Yeah I think both of them look great. They both offer slightly different takes on the character.
Herc will deffo be bigger and a bit less of a "parts former". But Giant would be more in scale if you already have FP Bruticus and Superion add on kits.
Although we have only seen blured images of Giants individual bots, Hercs individual members look a bit more Gen 1, to my eyes anyway. Although lets face it, I doubt many will display either of these guys outside of combined mode that often.
For me the size, individual bots and the fact it's coming out now makes Herc the winner, but as you say I don't think you could go wrong with either.

I only have FP Bruticus, but I really just wanted a Devastator who could stand up toe to toe with my Crazy Devy Predaking since he pretty much towers of FP Bruticus

Right now I'm torn between which one I like best, Scrapper or Mixmaster....guess I'll know for sure in April when they're all in hand.
Scrapper has a very clean design for both modes and although Mixmaster's alt mode is a bit basic it's more than made up for by the awesome array of weapons in robot mode....the use of the cement barrel is an inspired bit of design.
I think the MakeToys Devastator looks nice but scale wise it just doesn't work for me as the set is as much about the individual Constructicons as it is Devastator.
Bigger = Better.

I wouldn't say that. The others are pretty damn good too, like FrogDNA's and Zildjians. The latter especially makes some wicked good use of extra parts.

Yep, I'm a very happy geek today seeing "Mixmaster". He looks great and the extra touches with the barrel just puts it over the top. All the pics today has been fantastic!
New pics of "Hook" too
Now that is a crane !!! I think that Generations Grapple might feel a bit inadequate in comparison

Hook is certainly very well endowed.....Grapple will have to buy some special Energon pills
Nice to see that Hook's crane arm is detachable as it'll make it easier to display Devastator right at the back of a Detolf shelf although I think he'll look good right in the middle of a shelf with a few smaller 'bots around him to accentuate the scale.
Another option would be to get some cheap model cars in the right scale and add various weathering and damage to them so they look like they've been trampled underfoot.
Either displayed individually or fully combined the set will stand out in any collection and is easily the best combiner ever made.
It's not cheap but the release schedule and my knack for recycling other parts of my collection to raise cash for new stuff has made it maneagable and once it's all in hand I don't think I'll regret the purchase.

Some of those constructicons look so good in bot-mode that I would be tempted to pick them up even if they weren't part of Devastator. The newly revealed bots look the best of the bunch IMO.

i'm loving the bot modes on those Hercules TFs. especially with the Reprolabels. makes me wish they were cheaper so i could get an extra set.
