Now all we need "is a little energon and a lot of luck" on finding mp prime at tru.

Fixed :lecture

:exactly: the only US MP that was widely available were the seekers from Walmart, plus it went on clearance.

The first Hasbro MP Optimus (20th Anniversary) was pretty widely available. I waited him out and got him for a wopping $12! :yess:

Here's a pic of voyager Soundwave. He looks good, and his gimmick is pretty cool (storing multiple minions and able to eject them), but I would have been so much more thrilled with this if he was a fully new figure, instead of an update of a design that we already have a decent toy of.

Kickback looks cool, though I would have prefered either a full on G1 update, or a toy of the Prime Insecticon. There's something about this one that just looks...Off.

And voyager Dreadwing looks like he'll be one of the absolute winners of the line. :rock

Soundwave looks good, I would have bought that had it been out for the first game. The minions however are poor but Legends usually are so I'll cut them some slack for that.

Kickback is a gaudy mess.

I'm assuming from the headsculpt that Dreadwing is something to do with Prime....too bad as the rest of it looks OK.

I like the new Soundwave and it looks cool and all but this is like the one time I do care about scale. All the other WFC or FOC figures are Deluxe yet they make a Voyager Soundwave? Doesn't make since to me.

Do you guys miss when there was more than just deluxe, voyager and leader classes? Remember Ultra Class and Supreme class?

I know there's scout class but I don't count that :lol :monkey3

They say that variety is the spice of life and the different scales definitely made for much more intresting displays.

Hasbro's recent fixation with Deluxes of increasingly small size is one of the key reasons why I have ended up in my present position of having next to no intrest in what they produce.

Had they done a Voyager wave for the first videogame consisting of Prime, Megatron and Soundwave it would likely have done very well and likewise for the 2nd game but that clearly makes too much sense for the people at Hasbro.

Scaling will never be perfect in any line but once the Fans Toys Soundwave is out I'll have the character at a similar height to the MP Seekers, TFC Devastator looking over their shoulders whilst wielding WST Shockwave with Soundwave's minions and the Reflector trio all dwarfed by their big buddies.

Given the choice between that and Hasbro's idea of scale, the 3rd parties win by a landslide.

Yeah I don't understand it. The figure looks awesome, but I wouldn't display him with the others. I think they should go back and include Ultra and Supreme class, it would be a lot nicer I think.

yea these were posted/talked about a while back. they do look great, but are you prepared to spend the rumored $1500 on each one? I'm trying to save up at least for Optimus.

whhaaaaa? I'm out thanks for letting me know the price range.

Good points on scale issues. It's really too bad... The WFC/FOC stuff looks good, on the whole, but it's got some points against it. Scaling issues will make for a wonky display at best, plus with the proper Bruticus being a Comic Con exclusive, well... I think I might pass on the whole line.

I'll still buy the videogame at some point, no doubt about it, but as far as toys go, I think I'll stick to G1 Classics/Third Party, Beast Wars main cast, TF Animated and TF Prime. Crap, that's already a lot of TFs by any measure, anyway.

Now I just have to track down a decently priced Zombie Cliffjumper along with my standard Jinx, and I think I'll be good as far as SDCC exclusives go...

On one level it's sad to see Hasbro's declining standards even affect the Classicsverse which has largely been so good but if they're too dim to see the potential sales in a Classics Arcee, Triple Changer Springer, 3 Insecticons or 5 Dinobots then frankly they're a lost cause.

Given how poor Bruticus looks would there have been many complaints if they'd made 5 Dinobots instead? Unlikely.

Anyone going to SDCC? Wanna hook me up with a zombie TF Prime Cliff? :)
Good luck with that. I've been trying to find someone to help me get the 2 Jinx figures for MONTHS with no luck. :( The posts seem to just get ignored.

I just recently threw up a thread in the WTB section offering to pay for the figures, shipping ( obviously) and tossing an extra 20$ on top for their trouble. nothing.

Yeah, I'm not really too worried about it. I always figured I'll have to resort to Ebay, no biggie.

I'm guessing the regular Jinx will start at around $25-30 to begin with. Might go up after a while, but there should be several as soon as people get them in hand. That's been how it was last few times, anyway. Didn't have a problem getting either Slaughter (both versions) or Zarana (just the regular). Just don't wait too long... :)

I might pick up the other Jinx too, but it depends on the price. It's not a must have.

With Cliffjumper, I have no idea... I've never wanted a SDCC Transformer exclusive before, so I have no frame of reference. If I can get it for around $30 or so, I'll be happy.

Transformers are USUALY pretty easy to get post-con.

HOWEVER, he uses the FE cliff mold, so that might make it harder.

Really want the white one as well as the red, but if I only get one, the red . we will see :D

Thats good to know. I might try and get zombie Cliff, and I'm definitely gonna try to get Bruticus.

They're doing a white Cliffjumper as well? (Tailgate?)

Didn't see that...
