well I'm not planning on trying to find someone get an SDCC Bruticus for me nor am I going to shell out whatever he's going to go for one eBay.

Well, you might be able to get one from the online store afterwards...

As for Ebay, it really depends for me as well. If it's around $80-100, that's doable. Any more than that, I'd have to think about it. It's cool but not THAT cool, not when there are MPs and TFP toys and TFC Aerialbots and FT Soundwave, iGear Minibots, etc. to pay for still.

And if I can't get him, I might pass on all the videogame toys, to be quite honest. All in or nothing for me.

As for voyager Soundwave, he is cool no doubt, but if there was anytime scale bothered me, it's with these. the rest are deluxes, there's no point in having a bigger Soundwave. now if optimus or megatron were made into a voyager then that's different for me. I know they aren't always the biggest of the bunch but in my collection, I like the 2 head honchos to be the big guys even if it's barely taller

Well... The deluxe Prime and Megs from the first game are bigger, right? Do you think they'd look alright next to voyager Soundwave?

I know we don't have comparison pics yet, but what are your thoughts? I don't have any of the videogame figures. After playing WFC, though, and seeing United versions (better than the US ones??? Not sure...), I've been tempted for a while now...

I think some guys are missing the point of Voyager Soundwave. First off you couldn't pull off the AWESOME data disc gimmick in a deluxe scale. These look great in person and this is the return of the Generations line being brought back to the Voyager scale. The tapes aka discs will be like 5 bucks a pop, with a CASE! I think this is a great time to be a Transformers fan.

Yeah, it's a step up, for sure. But I'm still waiting for something better!

Megs has to be AT LEAST as tall as the MP/iGear Seekers. I think Hasbro/Takara will end up doing another MP version, which will be about the size of MP-10. That's fine - I don't mind him being a bit bigger than my Faith Leader and Seekers.

That kind of size would work for me as well.

I don't want to get too hung up on the scale thing but iGear's PP series is about as close to a consistent scale as we've got so I use that as the starting point.

I already upgraded my Seekers and Coneheads and Soundwave will be next as I sold my Music Label one a couple of days ago as I figured the demand for it will start to decrease now that the FOC Voyager has been revealed.

The Fans Toys one will replace it in my collection although I'm still tempted to get the FOC Voyager as I like the design....maybe I'll get the Soundblaster version and have him as a seperate character in my display.

Quick question, anyone heard of maketoys? My local retailer is bringing in their version of the constructicons/devastator set.

Its $480SGD per set, do you guys think its worth it?

Knock out is growing on me but the vehicon is a must! But the main one I'm looking forward to is Voyager starscream! probably the best of the RID Prime figures so far IMO

Oh man, I wouldn't even spend $80 on Bruticus. Like you said, with so many other figures coming, I can't justify that much towards Bruticus, when that could simply go to something I want more.

As for heights of the first game Deluxe Prime and Megatron, no they aren't bigger. They're bigger than the TF Prime Deluxes but by only about half an inch maybe. If you have generations Cyclonus, they're a bit shorter than him or about the same size as generations Kup.

I do like them though. The united versions are definitely better, but with me being cheap, I just bought the Hasbro ones but if you get the Hasbro Optimus, you can always upgrade him with the Reprolables sticker set which I've been meaning to do. Wish they made a set for Megatron. Also for Optimus, I think it's a must to get the 3rd party War Axe by Corbot V. BBTS has it unstick on sale right now for $12.

I loved the game though, so to me they're worth it, though idk how much they go for nowadays

Maketoys Giant seems to be very popular. I would get him but I already got Hercules. Cant afford both He would fit in great with G1/Classics figures. Anyway Bigbadtoystore.com has the set for $356USD which is $30 cheaper but then you factor in shipping and its really close in price. Also Robotkingdom.com has Giant for $350USD. Again shipping will bring it close to your retailers price. I say go ahead and bite so you can take pictures and post em!

I agreed. I have pre-ordered MakeToys Devastator because I think it looks better than Hercules. The robot design is clever, attention to details and proportion looks slick.
