My replacement Neckbreaker and Madblender arrived this morning which was a nice start to the day....until I discovered the instructions and trading card were missing from Neckbreaker :mad::mad:

Damn dude, you can't catch a break!

No kidding!

As Neckbreaker was sealed I'm guessing the seller didn't notice so it's probably just a packaging issue....I seem to recall a few reports of similar issues when it was first released.

I've sent a message to TFC's sales department to see if they can send me the missing items out so hopefully they'll come through.

In the meantime I've been having a play with Madblender and think he's great so it's not all been bad :)

I've just read some better news on Fans Toys Soundwave.

A TFW member knows one of the people involved with the project and recieved the following reply to an e-mail,

"Sure it will be released. We just have some problems to resolve right now"

:yess:

And thanks to a Youtube video my Herc now has his other arm :yess:

See that the problem with these figures they look great will they be able to hold up to transformation. I know I gear had some issues in the past.

I've got Faith Leader, all three Conehead Seekers and their first two Mini-Warriors. No problems. :)

soundwave,
The Music Label figure is very good especially with the reprolabels set and the only real issue I had was the size as he's quite a bit shorter than the G1 toy.

There's a lot of scaremongering in the TF community....look at all the people that claimed TFC would never finish Herc so maybe Fans Toys are going off the radar for a bit whilst they get Soundwave finished.

iGear have recently had a lot of flak for announcing new stuff before perpetually delayed products like Ironhide & Ratchet have shipped so maybe they're learning from that and not going the same route.

3rd parties have kept me intrested in collectign TF's this past 2-3 years and if they go the way of the dodo then I'll just collect something else.

I think the Prime toys look like garbage, I don't need video game toys masquerading as Classics and after that it'll be the 4th Bayformers movie and a few thousand more Deluxe Bumblebees....no thanks.

The next "must have" for me is MMC's Hearts of Steel Shockwave especially after seeing color pics as the purple plastic has a metallic finish to it which looks awesome and the size of the robot mode ( around 10" ) makes him suitably big and intimidating and the gunboat alt mode is pretty damn cool as well.

I'm seriously considering that Music label now...I needs me some more Soundwave ;)

Blimey if iGear get flak for announcing new stuff before old stock is released then you should have a look at the million Hot Toys threads bemoaning all the new licence's while ignoring older lines they never start or add too ;) lol
I'm ok with iGears current way of doing things :)

Good news on what you heard regarding Fans Toys so I've got everything crossed at the moment that Soundwave (and Blaster) appear...I'm happy to wait to get the product they really want to put out :)

Yep 3rd Parties are what's kept my interest...granted I have only bought the 2 mini warriors so far but I am hoping to add the Coneheads, Ironhide & Ratchet soon
But just knowing they exist is enough to keep me coming back to Transformers.

Like you I'm on the hate train for Prime toys & pretty much everything that isn't masterpiece or G1 inspired.
I have zero interest in Fall of Cybertron figures as well.

I must admit I do keep looking at the encore series though & will probably grab Twincast & Soundblaster soon.
Just looking for a Hoist & Trailbreaker at a good price at the mo as I really miss my originals of them (did find my complete original Hoist the other day but he has no box so an encore will be sweet :))

Congrats on the last constructicons arriving but shame to hear you were missing the instructions & tech card...hope TFC come through & help you out.

Look forward to seeing your pics of them soon :)

Neil

Finished Megatron. Woot.

I can't believe you guys hate Prime and WF/FOC...

Movie stuff, I understand, but the others are darn good (as well as BW and Animated)! Of course, nothing really holds a candle to G1. :)

I'm with you, DPrime. I've gotten used to the movie hate. I love it others don't, doesn't bother so much anymore. I can even see some hate just by the way the robots look on Prime since some of them or obviously inspired by the movies. But WFC and FOC indontnreally get. They have no attachment to the movies. They have a sense of The War Within comics which I thought was a pretty good read.

But if you haven't played the games or watched the show, I don't understand how you can outright trash it w/o even giving it a try. At least StarWars fans tasted the prequels before they decided to hate them :lol

EDIT: still looking for the Vehicons btw. Since I have the voyager Starscream, I don't need the FE version. Thanks though! :) I'll take Knockout however if you find him before me :lol

The FE one is better. ;)

I'll keep an eye out, but we haven't even seen the Arcee/Ratchet wave yet. :(

Gipetto0812, DPrime, soundwave,

I don't "hate" anything or at least not in the way the word is frequently misused on the internet :lol

Cartoons really aren't my thing and never have been....being a Transformer fan for me has always been about the toys and occasionally the comics.

That said I did give Animated a try and liked Blurr's design but that was it.

I like the War For Cybertron videogame and will probably like the sequel but I'm not intrested in the toys for several reasons, namely,

1.They don't fit with the theme of my display and I'm not really one for multiple versions of the same character.

2.Most of them are Deluxes....I feel that the likes of Prime, Starscream, Shockwave and Onslaught should be no smaller than Voyagers.

3.Something has been lost in the translation from 3D model to a physical product and the majority of them just look poor....I don't know whether Hasbro have had some new sculptors or if it's because they've also been doing the simplistic Prime designs and they're stuck in that kind of style but something looks off on some of them....Prime in particular looks like a huge step back from the WFC version.

Had the new cartoon used the same aesthetic as WFC I would possibly have given it a look but once I saw all the "Bayformers lite" designs my intrest ceased.

As for the Bayformers movies I bought into the hype for a while but once that wore off I realised what a pile of crap they were I didn't even bother with DOTM and will be doing likewise with TF4.

I don't expect Shakespeare from a live action Transformers movie but I sure expect better than the drivel Michael Bay excretes onto the silver screen.

I'm along the same lines as you Corsair.
I don't actually "hate" the toys they just don't interest me & I won't be spending money on them.

I enjoy Prime the cartoon but don't like the designs as they are too bayformers for me & that's one deisgn I just can't get my head around.

The War for Cybertron game is amazing & while the designs are pretty much spot on for early G1 stuff as hinted at in the original "more than meets the eye" 3 parter they fit pretty well within the universe.
I just don't really feel the need or want to own them.

I'm glad they will get made & others will get the cahnce to buy them & enjoy them but they just aren't for me & I really don't hate them.

The movies I won't even get started on, I enjoyed the first but the 2nd & 3rd just abominations.
They could have been something great but just ended up as messes.

Great minds think alike eh? :wink1:

I think "indifference" is a better word to use than "hate" because aside from letting off a bit of steam now & again I really don't spend any time bothering about the stuff I don't like.

Ya, same for me, no matter how many times i look at the newer transformers after Generation 1 series be it toys or cartoon, it doesn't appeal to me anymore, I know & understand things have to evolve after a certain period of time to keep the fans however it could be a good for some or bad for some, therefore up till now i am still pretty much an "old school chunky monkey" collector.

Just came to the realization that I only wanna collect G1/Encore and Masterpiece transformers lines. While I love some of the current lines, I just dont have the same love as I do for G1. That being said please keep up the excellent pics of these new transformers guys!

My personal preference are the "generations/classics style" toys. Anything that looks like the G1 cartoon and/or comic counterparts, but have modern articulation and styling.
