For whatever reason they changed the 2 to a September release with Smokescreen following 4th quarter, not sure why.

Agree with you about the QC issues as I had that darn foot problem with my Soundwave and had to send him back for a replacement. Fortunately my Sideswipe was issue free.

So long as the figures come with no QC issues I'm fine with a little delay.

It would have been nice to get Prowl around my birthday ( July ) but if the delay helps ensure better QC then it's no bad thing.

I was just looking on Ebay at Sideswipe & I didn't realise how much he'd gone up.

I paid £75 delivered for mine & the average price these days seems to be over £100

The guy I bought it from was actually targeting UK buyers (price listed in pounds sterling), and I think he had one or two left. Not sure why the packaging wasn't included though. If it's a factory reject, I'll send it on back, but his feedback was very good.

My next arrival will be the MP15 coin, as things work out I'll get that before I get the actual figures but it'll be an awesome day when MP15 & MP16 arrive all at once

After that there's a bit of a gap until the Nissans are released which will work out nicely as I can get the last 2-3 Avengers figures paid off and maybe get the Mech Ideas Wrecking Crue as well.

Now that Smokescreen has been changed to a 4th quarter release it's got me wondering whether Takara will go even further with the retooling of parts and try to make him look as chunky in robot mode as his animation model?

I suppose it depends if it would affect the transformation.

The greatness of MP Sideswipe in both modes made me buy Red Alert. This trio really builds on what they started. Not that long go, I thought I would never buy another takomy/hasbro figure. Now, aside from Quakewave, that's all I buy.

Pshh. I pity the fools who'd spent $80 each on them for the shiny paint apps and to have them early. I'd rather wait next year and pay $80 for both. I just have to explain to my boss why I'm blowing off work to camp outside TRU for toys. What? All sold out? That OK. I like driving out to TRU 3 times a week and harass employees to check the back because that how I roll.

Oh man. I hope you didn't end up paying that much!! Kool Toyz still has him for a decent price! Not sure how much custom fees will up add to though.

My Red Alert should be coming in tomorrow.

As for the Datsun bros., I pre-ordered them sight unseen when they were first announced. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm kinda glad they pushed these guys back. I just have too many pre-orders to settle at the moment.

Plus I'm trying my hardest not to pull the trigger on Iminime's Daryl.

He's starting to creep into the $110-ish range on ebay. But I think you still have time to find him at cost or at least at a decent price.
I'm thinking if casual fans had to choose which version of the mold to pick, they'd probably get Sideswipe. And boy did his value ever shoot up in just a few days.

Yeah, if ever in doubt, get the Season 1 guy I guess. Kool Toyz's price is decent - ESPECIALLY for Sideswipe. I think I'd have to pay tax and then shipping again on top of that, since I'm in Canada... still fairly reasonable, though I haven't given up on trading for him yet.

Speaking of which, I'll be getting a whole load of FOC toys for my TFC Blaster, it seems. Like some $200 worth of stuff at retail including voyager Grimlock, Soundwave and Blaster. I'm not a HUGE fan of the videogame designs but I do like them enough to buy them on the cheap. Pretty pleased by that deal, since I think I only paid about sixty bucks when that Blaster reissue came out, and I haven't displayed him for a long time... I'll probably trade or sell some of this stuff but I think I'll keep Grimlock and Jazz at the very least. That Soundwave looks cool but I dunno... kind of big to fit in with the other 'cons from that line.

Back to the MPs, I think Prowl will be the hot one of the Datsun trio... but then again, there's a lot of interest for Bluestreak, too. Personally I can't wait to see Smokescreen and see what mold changes they've made to him.

But yeah, if you're worried about one rising in price drastically, I'd say it'll have to be Prowl. Don't miss out on him!

I just pre-ordered 2 Prowls and 2 Bluestreaks for a total of just over £115 before shipping from an online store called Anime Export.

Even with international shipping added ( which isn't likely to be too bad as the packaging is likely to be the same size/weight as the Lambos ) I should end up making a decent saving and I'll probably pre-order my Smokescreens from the same place should they be the same price.

One thing that needs fixing for Prowl's release is the text as the word "Patrol" is misspelt!
