Congrats on the Bluestreak order, looks like we managed to get in before they sold out of their allocation!

With Takara having the Nissan license the possibility of an official Ironhide and Ratchet is clearly a realistic one but I think they may be a while yet.

Those new pics are fantastic....I'm still not convinced on MP10 though

My MP collection is all Takara,

MP08 & MP11-18 ( includes extras of Sideswipe,Prowl & Bluestreak )

Smokescreen ( x2 ) and another Red Alert are next in my plans, then I'll take a look at Tiger Track if it still happens. I'm expecting a delay so that Takara can get the paint apps more consistent than the previous uses of the mold.

Yeah really pleased we got in when we did...at those prices they weren't going to hang around for long.

Yeah hopefully we'll see official Vans would be great if they did, but I'd prefer other characters first.
I was thinking the other day I'd love a Trailbreaker, not to fussed for hoist but Trailbreaker would be awesome.
I think he's one of those underrated characters that just oozed cool in the show.

I'll be keeping a close watch for their Smokescreen pre-order to go up as now the word's out on their pricing he won't last long either.

Trailbreaker & Hoist would be cool to have, their being bigger & bulkier would make a nice contrast to the sports cars and I should think Toyota would be easy enough to get on board.

3 possible ways Takara could get me to own the MP10 mold are,

1. "Donkey Kongvoy"

Takara could get Nintendo on board and release a brown repaint with a headsculpt based on their favorite ape and include some bananas for accessories that could fit where his gun goes in alt mode.

Prime could then be a truck AND a monkey at the same time.

2.Make Masterpiece Huffer based on the one the Takara guy did a sketch of and include it with a rerelease.

3.Put a mail away offer for a Michael Bay voodoo doll in the packaging.

Any of those would be licenses to print money!

Sideswipe I think is about 6-7" tall & looks all kinds of awesome in hand.

Shipping varies but based on what I looked at yesterday on Anime Export it's about ¥2000 for EMS (which according to XE.com is about £15) which is a bloody good rate.

The only thing to remember with them is that you might get Customs chargers which on Toys is just VAT @ 20% of the shipped price (i.e. - Bluestreak @ £30 + £15 shipping = £45 x 20% = £9 VAT) still loads cheaper though than the UK suppliers.

Wish I'd known about them for my Sideswipe order.

I'm intrested to see how his armor turns out but as the price will likely be at least £200 I'm unlikely to spend that kind of cash on a character I have minimal intrest in....it's really about series 1 & 2 for me.

Ultra Magnus should get a pass since he's a "Diaclone" guy like the Season 1 and 2 Autobots.

Plus, you know, you can put the other ones in him. You know.

Funny that I have some nostalgia for the movie, but not the new characters from it.

Even though I HATE that they killed off or otherwise ignored the earlier characters for the most part, I still quite like Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, and Kup especially. Blurr too, mainly because he was one of the few Transformers my brothers and I had as kids.

In fact, I think the movie had a bigger impact on me than Season 2. For some reason I saw a bunch of the Season 1 episodes but not much of Season 2. They must have changed the times for them on TV or something... I didn't even know Red Alert was a real character until I saw his old TRU Hasbro reissue years ago!

Cool. I was the same way at first but got the MP bug bad!! This is the only thing I collect nowadays with a couple of Hot Toys a year so Im focused on completing the line from MP10 on. Gave up on the idea of getting doubles of everything except the MP's I gotta have in both modes. So far I have/po'ed MP10,11,11T,12,13,18,19 X2 and 1 each of Mp14,15,16,17. Love this line to death. I wonder how far they will dig into G1,could we possibly get most of everything from series 1-4 in MP form? It almost frightens me....but in a good way!

Wow, you have doubles of those!?!?! Most impressive! I couldnt afford all that unless it cut deep into my Hot Toys/Sideshow budget. I've been getting a lot of Hot Toys, so just cant get everything. But having x2 of those to display in both modes would be a spectacular display!

FYI, these are available from HobbyLinkJapan for $50 a piece. I pre-ordered from there, because even with slightly expensive shipping it should be way cheaper to buy multiples that way than going through, say, BBTS, which charges $80 per figure. They've even got a Pile of Loot option.
