I ordered MP Soundwave online with the store pick up last night because it shows its instock at my local TRU. Man they better have one waiting for me or put it on the side and not accidentally sell it to someone.

Got a TRU MP Soundwave. Really wasn't expecting to find one... I decided I could sell it or use it for trade fodder later on, or possibly just keep it and sell the Takara one and tapes. We'll see I guess... I think the Takara ones are better but the TRU one is a better deal if you can get it at retail.

Yup just called them and they don't have any instock and sold out and cancelled my order. They said they are getting in more this week but can't keep my order open. I called customer service, they just told me to talk to the store manager and see if they can hold one for me when it arrives. But with my luck I doubt he will.

Loving these tapes.

Really no serious complaints at all. Great release anyone should pick up who has the opportunity. But minor quibbles--the paint apps aren't as crisp and clean as they could be on some of the tapes, and the box is kind of flimsy and cheap.

Anyone know how to keep the piledrivers to stay on Rumble and Frenzy's arms?

I believe you kind of jam them in (carefully) until you feel a click. The first time I tried I was worried it would break, but no such worries.

Has there been any good comparisons between the Hasbro and Takara tapes?

I've got both, technically, but I haven't opened the TRU box (and I don't know if I'm gonna...), and my Takara ones are tied up in an RK preorder...

Hmmm Ive heard mixed reviews on the KO version. Id like to get one myself eventually. Main issues Ive heard are looser heads,some had paint QC issues. Ive seen it being sold cheaper than that too.

As for the Grimlock,I say pass on it and keep an eye on Ebay for new or used Grimmys as people are gonna unload them with the upcoming chinese reiisue imo.

Been away from here for a long time but glad to see peeps are getting their TRU SW's now.

Still waiting for news on the UK release.

Not been buying much but I have just started reading the Monstrosity comics & damn are they good.

Haven't read Autocracy but it's on it's way so I'll be reading that before I carry on with it but it's just awesome already & I can't wait to see how it continues.

It's exactly what I want from a TF comic these days.

For those asking about the KO MP Lambor, I am pasting a comment from someone in our Facebook group who owns both Takara Tomy original & KO MP..
I only own the KO MP Lambor, so I cannot compare.

Some dissimilarities that I have found on my MP Lambor/Sideswipe Original and Knock Off versions are shown on the following photos. Also worth mentioning:
1. KO's gun color is more on the gray side rather than silver;
2. KO's gun does not fit well on the hands of either version;
3. Tighter joints on the KO;
4. Price of KO is much lower than the SRP of the Original (Got mine for 1800 and 2400, respectively),

Based on the current price tag of Takara MP-12, I believe the KO is a reasonable alternative for one's collection as long as you can overlook its flaws.

From the pictures:

5. The photo of Lambor/Sideswipe on the right side of the box is missing its Autobot insignia.
6. Eyes are of different shape, and KO's forehead part (red highlight) is bigger and rectangular in shape while trapezoid for the Original.
7. Black outline on the Originals's headlights. Paint apps on my Original is not perfect, but the defects are just on the red areas. KO's Autobot logo is fine.
8. That part on the "spine" should be straight. There is no bump on the Original. It kind of affects the transformation (see no. 9), but good thing that the chest peice/hood can still be locked on robot mode.
9. Front skirt cannot be even with the crotch part for the KO. But only noticeable when posed sideways =]
10. Knee joint is of thinner material on KO.
11. Number tag on on MP-12's right calf starts in "1" for the KO. Small L for the Original.
Note: Original is the one on the Right Side.
