Well, I hope your child is as strong as your mother but sadly millions of kids aren't. You're right millions go through much worse everyday hell I teach kids who do, but again that being said some kids have breaking points weaker than they should be. Is suicide a weak way out in general? I think so but when it comes to kids I look at it a little differently. As, I said I hope your child is never bullied the way some of these kids are that kill themselves.

If my kid decides to kill himself over being bullied it'll be my fault as a parent, not the bullies fault.
I just finished a research paper about teen suicide last week actually. It sounds like the support system around this girl failed. There isn't much info that I read, but where were school officials and friends in this matter? Parents can only say and do so much, this girl needed a lot more outside support. I don't know if she posted anything on Facebook, but you can actually report posts by friends if your worried about them having suicide ideation. Sounds like Canada needs to boost bullying awareness in schools with all this cyber bullying stuff on the rise.

she tried one failed suicide attempt, you would expect most bullying to stop there, but no , they had to go on and make fun of her attempted suicide too, bloody disgusting memes, i dread to think how far kids will go to making fun of their peers in future,
people only bully those who are weak and helpless, if she had turned and maybe sided up with those one of those gans these bullies would have probably crawled back into their shells

What's up with that is she was too upset to actually speak on camera and hold it together you see. I think she was a very sensitive soul who basically yearned for companionship from the people around her who basically turned out to be all mean to her.
That became basically her whole universe, and no longer one she could bear.
She made a mistake being so forgiving and accommodating to the people who attacked her, but that was her nature. All the people who physically beat on her should be punished, and all those around who egged them on should be held as accomplices. ( This is not unprecedented. people who cheer other people on give others determination to do things they wouldn't do otherwise, and they have been found guilty in court of same)
The person who requested or pressured her (being 15 years old) should be found guilty of soliciting child porn.
It sucks because she really seemed to act in good faith when others around her used her.
you are just stupid, you think the world is black and white, I've seen this first hand, I've seen people get bullied, and this exact thing happened to a friend of mine, she broke up with her boyfriend and he had pics of her and he started to show it to people in school, it was similar,
you have no idea what bullying is do you? she got so harassed she almost got raped, she had to move out of the state. and this was only in her school, it was no where near as bad as that Amanda Todd girl, with the stalker going on facebook and showing it to everyone, making it a bigger problem.
see when my friend moved, that was the end of it, she left that in her past, people made fun of her and harassed her but she moved. This Amanda girl, they would not leave her alone, the internet pretty much drove her to suicide,

but when you are talking with friends you tend to do stupid things, that is just human nature, Everyone has done something really stupid when having fun with friends, everyone, even you and me, have done something really stupid.
but then the night ends and no one makes a big deal about it, the girl showed her ****s and that should have been the end of it, no one deserves to be bullied like that, specially when they are a 15 year old girl that was just joking around. that's the thing,
You think that as a parent you can stop bullying and can control it, that you could protect your kid. but that is something no one can control. specially when people can hide behind a computer and cause this much damage to someone's life,
what do you think Bullying means? really Im asking you for real, what is your definition of bullying? does your definition counts getting beat up? slapped? almost raped? (im not talking about the Amanda Girl, Im talking about all the other kids that kill themselves)
I bet if you were 15 and some weird guy tried abusing you, or if that happened to someone in your family you would not be thinking the way you do now, or if you were 15 and a group of A-holes started to beat you up for collecting toys, Or even now, if someone hit you on the head for liking Hot Toys and crap. bullying goes much farther than just name calling you know...

I really don't know where to begin. You've just spent God knows how long typing a wall of text about an issue that I've literally not addressed in any of my previous posts. What do you want my definition of bullying for? In fact I've said bullying was wrong in multiple posts, so why do you want me to define it for you? I really truly have no idea what you're getting at with any of your wall. If you'd like to try again I'll attempt to get to the bottom of whatever issue you've taken here.

The error you have made is that you believe that all people should deal with the same stress the same way without the same personality. While your mother went through tough stuff, it is not reasonable to assume that all other people could go through the same as well. Amanda Todd's parents were not doing their jobs. From what I gathered in the video, they live apart, so they are separated or divorced. Not enough support or supervision only having one parent.
On paper, the idea that all children should handle stress equally sounds ok, but in the field, that notion fails.
What Blackmask is essentially saying is that you are unreasonably expecting all people to handle stress in the same way.
There is no error on my part. I never once said that, and know that is absolutely not the case. The capacity to make those decisions is there for all, unless they are mentally incompetent. The stress is not the issue, it's the response to stress. I've said she could have used more support. I've said that the bullies are in the wrong. Won't I don't feel is pity for her making the choice she made. And I won't pass the blame to the bullies either for a decision she made. After all, if we're using the excuse that she was just a kid incapable of making the decision you have to extend that immature decision making to the bullies as well for making the stupid ass decision for bullying. Sure it was a tragedy, but I don't feel sorry for her. I feel sorry for her family and her friends who are now going to feel like they are being bullied as a result of her decision to kill herself.

What's even more sick is that if you search her on google a disgusting meme pops up of her exposing herself. I went through depression and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for strong support. If people weren't followers and stuck by one another more through hardships the world would be better. The problem here was she had no support and no one to talk to. It's sad really
