Thanks! As you and I where talking BM that I think this will make a nice center piece between the Anakin vs Obi-Wan dio and the Vader vs Obi-Wan from ANH when it comes out.

I really want a Luke Vs Vader from Jedi. To me that is the most emotional fight ever. Something about the sad tone to the music really drives it home for me. :rock :monkey2

Hell yes! To me, it's like basically a minute only of music, but Williams' score to the climax of that duel was his best stuff. The soft rumble as Vader seeks Luke out, the roaring drum roll as Luke emerges, the powerful strings and chorus as Luke unleashes everything he's got on Vader, all perfect and very moody.

I sure hope they do a dio for each movie. And a ROTJ Luke vs Vader would be awesome.

I don't understand why they went this this particular moment. I thought it would be a no-brainer that if a diorama of "The Duel" was ever done, it would have Obi-Wan and Anakin crossing lightsabers, like on the movie poster. Or the shot where they're trying to use the force on each other and are in a stalemate. Or the one where they're holding each other's wrists and almost chest-to-chest. Or even Anakin grabing Obi-Wan by the wrist and by the throat and lowering him down to the ground.

I just don't get it. All these classic moments that could have been captured, and they choose the moment Anakin lands on the hover platform and Obi-Wan looks like he's about to lose his balance? Maybe it's because they wanted some lava in there too. I would have taken some artistic license and just added some around them no matter what the setting was, like Hasbro did with their Unleashed Duel figures.

Yeah any of those would have been very good. I do like this one though, it's so unique that I think it stands out well.

While the moment of this diorama may not best representation of the duel, I feel it captures the characters better than some of those suggestions. Anakin is posed in an attacking, relentless moment while Obi-Wan is poised to strike and alert but acting passive and not wanting to hurt his brother.

I agree with you that it should represent the character. That's why I like the Hasbro Unleashed set. Anakin in pure rage, screaming and yellow eyed. Obi-Wan is on the defensive, parrying an attack while at the same time using the force to hold the lava at bay. They did a great job with that one. If you read the Revenge of the Sith novel, it really stressed how Obi-Wan constantly gives ground during the duel and his entire strategy is to defend.

I agree. 4 me it captures the characters and the emotion of the moment.

Still one of my favorite pieces and the main reason I'm now fully into this line

The three prequel lightsaber battles are going to look great together. Just a little over a month for that. :woo
